Today’s Campaign Update (Because The Campaign Never Ends)

Why does Donald Trump hate women so?????? – Gina Haspel, Donald Trump’s nominee, yesterday became the first woman ever confirmed to become the Director of the Central Intelligence Agency. This woman’s nomination was opposed by 2 Republicans and 43 Democrats in the U.S. Senate.
As far as I can tell, the biggest black mark against Ms. Haspel was the glowing endorsement she received from John Brennan. Certainly does give one pause.
This is in the New York Times so it’s probably fake news, but the fake newspaper of record has a report that big Hollywood muckety-muck agent Jay Sures has recently shopped a new show concept to both CNN and MSNBC. Sures’ big idea is to create a sort of “Crossfire” reboot pairing up …wait for it…Steve Scaramucci and Michael Avenatti! That’s right, The Mooch vs. the Creepy Porn Lawyer, a match made in hell.
ummm…No thanks.
Why does the fake news media hate Israel? Good question, though the answer is pretty obvious. – Harvard Law Professor Alan Dershowitz has a very good piece in the Washington Examiner titled “Why Does The Media Encourage Hamas Violence Against Israel?”
It’s a very valid question, because there is no doubt at all that the American media does this, with its incredibly biased coverage of events involving clashes between Hamas-directed “Palestinians” and the Israeli armed forces. The latest such event, of course, took place earlier this week, when Hamas sent thousands of armed protesters to try to breach a border wall.
When more than 4 dozen of the “Palestinians” ended up dead, the U.S. media all sang from the same fake hymnal, declaring it a massacre of “peaceful” protesters. When Hamas later freely admitted that almost all of the dead were in fact armed Hamas terrorist thugs, the American media dropped the story like a hot potato.
The obvious answer to the Professor’s question, of course, is that pretty much every fake reporter, editor and talking head in the American news media is a liberal, and liberals have been taught in American universities to hate Israel with a passion for the last several decades. This anti-Israel bias bleeds into all their reporting, and you end up with the feeding frenzy we saw on Monday and Tuesday of this week.
The better question is this: Why do most American Jews continue to vote for liberal politicians, almost all of whom hate Israel, too? It’s one of the most persistent and maddening aspects of American politics. Perhaps Mr. Dershowitz, a life-long Democrat, should ask that question of himself.
The Examiner also has a report on discussions taking place among the GOP leadership in congress to cancel this year’s month-long August congressional recess:
“Republicans are threatening to keep the Senate open for an extended summer session to process agenda items delayed by Democratic obstruction. But the political benefits of denying incumbent Democrats valuable time on the campaign trail is also factor in the Republicans’ deliberations, and why they appear more willing that usual to give up a treasured annual vacation.”
Before anyone gets too excited about this proposition – which would be an outstanding strategic move – we should all remember that the same discussions took place last year, and the milquetoast Republican leaders ultimately decided they didn’t want to take the media heat they’d receive for actually sticking around Washington and getting the people’s business done.
The wild card this year, though, is the fact that Kevin McCarthy, Steve Scalise and Jim Jordan, the three men competing to succeed Paul Ryan as Speaker of the House, are all more aggressive partisans than Ryan has ever been. We can hope that pressure from these men might prod Ryan into doing the right thing here, but it is still ultimately a decision that will be made by Ryan and the depressingly non-aggressive Mitch McConnell.
Bottom line: Be happy if it happens, but don’t go buy any celebratory champagne until it does.
MS-13 is a bunch of sub-human animals – what’s the question here? – After the fake news media uniformly lied about President Trump’s description of MS-13 gang members on Wednesday as “animals” – dishonestly claiming in unison that the President was applying the pejorative term to all immigrants – Mr. Trump was asked about the matter again at an unrelated White House event yesterday evening. His answer was not surprising:
“When the MS-13 comes in, when the other gang members come into our country, I refer to them as animals and guess what — I always will,” Trump told reporters”.
Asked and answered.
Given that the Democrat Party and the fake news media are just two elements of a single political apparatus these days, this and other episodes over the last week bring this question to mind: What does the Democrat Party stand for going into the 2018 mid-term elections?
As far as I can tell, here is the current Democrat Platform:
They support Hamas, a group that has been listed as a terrorist organization by the U.S. State Department since the Clinton Administration, and hate Israel, our country’s most loyal ally for half a century; They support MS-13; They support the Crazy Little Fat Guy in North Korea over the American President; They support the Mullahs in Iran over the American President; They’re going to raise your taxes; They favor impeaching the President; They want to de-fund the military; They want to repeal the 2nd Amendment; They’re against freedom of speech; They want to eliminate borders, and thus end U.S. sovereignty; They want to give everyone a job in the government and free college, but have no plan how to fund either.
These are all positions that have been expressed by leaders of the Democrat Party in just the last week. This is not a winning formula.
That vaunted “blue wave” is going to end up becoming just another Democrat “trail of tears.”
Just another day in it’s all falling apart for the Democrats America.

They have to do something to keep their followers head up. Creating this imaginary blue wave might get most of them to go out and vote.
After reading this and your reply a reoccurring thought came to me and it is about the middle east, and basically the rest of the world VS US beliefs. I tell people that the biggest problem we have as a nation is believing that the rest of the word lives and thinks like us, they don’t but that still doesn’t stop many if not most of us thinking they do. So when a mother thanks allah that their child blew themselves up and a bunch of civilians in a ice cream shop or a market the response is to say it can’t be islam, it has to be something else, mentally ill..... Until we as a nation, that means politically, media.... accept that yes they did it for their religion, and yes their religion demands these kind of actions, intolerance.... “We” will never make much progress. This thought process has come to our shores evidence the reactions to the Ft. Hood, Boston Bombing, Orlando Night club shooting, San Bernardino Shootings...even when the perps state that they did it for allah and islam, that explanation is poo poo’d And a nother more politically correct motive is sought. The same can be said about dems and dem supporters. Was reading the replies to a FB post by dems about Pres Trump, and to say the least the responses were hysterical, illogical, full of hate, full of hypocrisy, and yet THAT IS WHAT THEY BELIEVE,and to think otherwise is a huge mistake

Leftards are emotionalists and social metaphysicians. Their reality and standard of value are their emotions and leftard groupthink. But since they are clueless and can't handle the truth, all they really have to guide them are fantasies, delusions, and wishful thinking.

When they played this clip on CBS This Morning NorDUH O'Donnell had a sour puss look on her face demonstrating that she has no ability to hear, comprehend and make sense out of sensible statements. On a lighter note, Gayle King covering the Royal wedding is the perfect assignment for her and she's doing a good job. Unlike her attempts to be a hard news morning show tri-host as she always predictably inserts her biased commentary following each news report - she's better doing the entertainment weekly reports as sh isn't quite bright enough for understanding SERIOUS world events.
Part of me hopes so, but another part is that many of the winners on the GOP side will be the same set of never Trumpers we have now - rewarded for Trump’s success.
