Does Trump Have Grounds for a MASSIVE Libel Suit?
FreeRepublic ^ | 2/2/18 | Mr. K the KnowItAll

I think there are Felonies here and Misprision of Felonies, but in addition isn't their grounds for a MASSIVE libel suit of epic proportions?

I meant they spent $12 million to MANUFACTURE a dossier accusing a person of some pretty terrible things. That certainly is grounds for a civil suit.

Then (knowing it was fake) they used it to obtain warrants. That's where the felonies come in. And all the stuff that happened after- including unmasking.

I have been wondering the same. Can he sue Christopher Steele for libel?

Maybe his suit could suck-up all of McCabe’s retirement. McCabe doesn’t deserve it.

He should sue but I don’t think he will. The guy has been slandered, libeled a billion times over ever since he first announced he was running and he hasn’t filed suit yet on any of that.

Yea, but according to Chris Wallace, they just made mistakes... no intent proven. He also adds, we’re not seeing all the evidence. The Hillary defense.

What a nice word: Misprision.

Thank you for making me grab the dictionary. (Googled it)

The pronunciation guide indicated: "Miss Prison". I hope this becomes Hillary's nickname.

Wallace does not need to outsource “bed wetting”.

I am of the opinion that President Trump should direct AG Sessions to appoint a special prosecutor to investigate any and all crimes, including RICO violations, and prosecute any and all offenders to the fullest extent of the law.

Yes, but he will never file it. He doesn’t have time or incination to deal with the discovery requests and depositions that would result.

First things first. Start an investigation, since this is clearly only the tip of the iceberg. Clear out all the rats.

I should add that what people in that situation sometimes do is have someone else who was also libeled file the lawsuit. Thus, Don Jr. or Eric or members of Trump’s staff who were libeled when Trump was could file, and Trump could stay out of the discovery.

Wallace..........

Clueless to the fact that the root of this whole debacle is a Democrat document, but is anxious for another Democrat document to clear things up.

I believe he should, even were it to amount to nothing. Going after the DNC especially. Since they are close to insolvency, having a multi-million $ suit against them will keep them entangled for years. Should he prevail, the monies that they would have to send to him would keep them unable to mount any kind of election strategy.

Retirement benefits should be used to feed, clothe and house the prisoners.

I agree.

People say bad things during a campaign but spending $millions to MANUFACTURE evidence of salacious activity with hookers, that is then used in court and to start criminal investigations?

THAT CANNOT REMAIN UNPUNISHED!!!

And that is IN ADDITION TO any criminal filings.

Trump should seriously look at indicting both Valerie Jarrett and Huma Abedin, just for starters. They are the people who likely took the directives from President Obama and Hillary Clinton to get this now-discredited investigation going.
