State Of The Union-SHOULD TRUMP CALL FOR A SUPER BOWL BOYCOTT?

Posted on 01/26/2018 7:52:56 AM PST by DIRTYSECRET

It would serve them right. The NFL is really asking for it. He could just say he'll be playing golf. Go to a museum. No TV's around. It would give him an opportunity to question other sacred cows, like the need for a college degree. Reassess everything as the country becomes great again.

No. It would be piling on, and would appear small and petty at the SOTU. IMHO, of course.

Not the time or place for such a call.

No need. NFL is promoting the boycott all on its own.

No, just leave it alone.

Probably nobody outside the Philadelphia/New England market will be watching anyway.

No, plus he would probably get sued.

He would need to be confident any such request would have a real affect.

Trump is a master of doing the unexpected. This, in ways, would not be unexpected.

No. That’s just ridiculous.

But he SHOULD read the memo or at least bore in on the depths of corruption, sedition and quiet coup exposed therein.

I don’t think Donald Trump should mention the NFL in any way, shape or form.

I think he should simply “give to the Congress Information on the State of the Union”, and then he should leave the building.

Nope - might mention it as a “extraneous comment” but it is the wrong venue to go after them. More likely to say something good about the XFL trying another business startup.....

Absolutely not. Totally unnecessary. The NFL is already handling its own demise. The President got the ball rolling, and that’s all that was needed. It would also sound rather small and petty at the SOTU.

Nah, instead, President Trump should don his best overacting Captain Kirk impersonation and declare, "Death.......... to the nfl."

Not appropriate for the SOTU. Besides, anyone interested in boycotting the Super Bowl is likely going to do so anyway.

NO....he should leave that alone. There are a lot bigger needs for him to address.
The PEOPLE WILL boycott.... TRUMP is setting the climate for America to return to Patriotism......

No. Politicians should stay out of sports; and athletes should stay out of politics.
