Sure could've prevented a lot of horrendous pain and suffering back circa, before, and after 1933... if folks would've just read the good-health manual for the species and followed the instructions instead of following/worshiping something, or someone, else.

But then the hive gets to drinkin', again - and smokin' weeds or grass or banana peals or linoleum or whatever, again --and watching a bunch of Dionysian dramatic BS, again... and pretty soon, predictably, there's a swarm of confused folks.
The confused swarm is easily deceived/misled into chasin' someone like Forest Gump down the highway and using him as a lame excuse for building a Magic Molochean BBQ pit in their name. That's fun and keeps them occupied for a while -- but, just when the BBQ gets up to cooking temperature, and smelling real good, and the smoke starts to clear, and folks start to see what the BBQ really is -- that's when some Hillarian-stick-vendor drops in and starts pokin' the swarm INTO the BBQbox. Nobody in the BBQbox gets to eat. They don't even get a pulled-pork sandwich, which really sucks because by that time the swarm, not being particularly productive of, well, anything whilst in swarm mode - is typically starving.
So, in the end most of the swarmed hive just ends up getting smoked in the BBQ pit, again; which was what the stick vendors, with the help of their actuarial analysts and an abacus named HAL, pretty much figured on all along anyhow, again -- Especially since their clever "excess human productivity" hive-farming business model is nothing new under the Aten and has been getting tweaked and debugged throughout SWAMP history.
