I agree, there is something about mormons and “the mantle” when they become convinced that they are ordained by the almighty to assume power. It is psycho, and seems to be a common thing with them. Search Ervil LeBaron, and some other guy named Jeffrey Lundgren. There are several others.

This statement shows why this article has no credibility with me. Mandel was a strong candidate against Brown and would have readily beaten him so Mandel’s withdrawal is a big deal. Hopefully an equally strong candidate will emerge to challenge Brown.

I think he absolutely believed he was going to be supported and would run a legit race. I wouldn’t call him an idiot, but calling him naïve on IL politics is not a harsh description. But putting any blame on him is unhelpful when you know the history here.

Keyes constantly tried to show off his superior intelligence. If he didn’t do his due diligence then he’s either completely incompetent, an idiot, or an equal combination of the two.
