The big loser in Tuesday's Alabama's special Senate election was not the Republican Party. They had already lost weeks ago, the moment the Washington Post wrote their (carefully vetted, in this instance) exposé of the thirty-year-old sexual proclivities of Judge Roy Moore.

Trump didn’t get out for Roy because he had to make nice with Mitch. Roy Moore won several contentious state wide elections in Alabama before. He had already proven he could do that reliability.
everyone was blindsided by theses 40 year old allegations, that never before came up until it was too late to replace or vindicate Roy Moore in this particular senate Election.
What Killed Moore was Mitch and half the establisment republican party actually siding with the democrat in the general election.
Indeed he lost by such a small margin even the faulty Fox News poll killed him by suppressing turn out convening fox watching republicans there was no point.

I get that - they are a-holes and their smear campaign worked so they are happy and they are spiking the football and doing their happy dance in the end zone.

From what I’ve been hearing the problem isn’t so much that they crossed over, the problem is they stayed home. I hope Republican voters recognize going into 2018 that we’re at war in this country with a leftist ideology and that sitting at home during off year and special elections puts critical seats and control of our Government in jeopardy of being lost to leftists. Sitting at home and not voting is inexcusable.
Bannon was trying to get an alternative candidate program up and running. Moore is a big fail. So, Bannon loses in a crucial first test with what turned out to be a lousy candidate. It is a huge blow to his plan. Therefore, it’s a huge loss.

Yeah, I agree with that and I read some of your other posts and agree it’s a big loss for Bannon.
I guess I just took your one post the wrong way - where you call Bannon a big loser. There’s a difference between saying it was a big loss for him vs. calling him a big loser - sounded like you don’t like him - know what I mean?
But I agree with the point you were making - it sucks for Bannon that he stuck his neck way out for this guy and came up empty handed.
I hope Bannon quickly regroups and finds another project to get behind and pulls off a victory this time - we need guys like Bannon to stay in the fight.

What the Dems and GOPe got in this off year election exceeded their 2014 Alabama mid-term by 244,000 for their Dem governor candidate. That’s highly unusual.

As they say if it’s not close they can’t steal it. There probably was enough institutional fraud from the Dem areas to squeak by with a win.
