I read half the book today and will probably finish tomorrow.

The book moves through the campaign at a blistering pace - so much is left out but what's in there is fascinating. Especially the part about Manafort and (Rick) Gates - both of whom were recently indicted by the Mueller investigation. It should be pointed out that many in the Trump campaign, such as Corey and Steve Bannon thought Manafort was bad news and by the middle of August 2016, Trump himself demanded that Manafort be terminated from the campaign.

I know many here were fans of Manafort during the short time he was with the campaign. But apparently his contributions to the campaign (i.e. delegate wrangling) were overstated and there are still open questions about checks that Manafort had cut for campaign mailings that never happened. Apparently the money ($750,000) was funneled to his business partner and we still don't know where it ended up.

All of this knowledge puts the Mueller indictments of Manafort and Gates in a different light - so far as I'm concerned. They may indeed be bad guys and Trump may have dodged a bullet by getting rid of them so decisively before the general election got into full swing.

Anyway, the book is highly recommended but it skips over so much that happened. You would probably need a 1,000+ page book to cover it all. I'm sure that those books are coming.

I have never trusted Lewindowsky. Does anybody really think Trump actually told HIM he was a great looking guy? I don’t doubt Manafort’s a snake, though. Read the whole excerpt; Jared, Lewindowsky, Manafort -— they’re all snakes. The frequent roll-over of staff that has plagued the administration, is that Trump has either had to depend upon political neophytes, and his smarmy son-in-law, or , worse yet, politicians. And since he’s new to politics himself, I think he’s only recently figured out who he can trust, and very few of those trustworthy, are politicians. (Which in itself, is a very rare bird, indeed)
