The homeless are like cicadas. They have an 8-year life cycle. Assuming we alternate between 8 years of a Republican president, and 8 years of a communist ... er, I mean socialist ..., er, DEMOCRAT ... then the homeless appear within a year after the election of the Republican, multiply in exponential numbers throughout the next 7 years, then slowly die out or go into hibernation while the comm ... er, Democrat is in the White House. Only to reappear when the next Republican takes office.

Yes! The Mitch Snyder whose hunger strike in 1990 was defeated by a bunch of nuns who refused to be shook down by his homeless posse. The nuns said that when Snyder realized he’d lost, “a leaner but wiser Mitch arose, took up his pallet, and headed off to Burger King”.
I had started listening to Rush Limbaugh that year, and Snyder’s antics kept Rush in the tall clover for weeks on end. He made a star of Clarence “Frogman” Henry of “Ain’t Got No Home” fame.
Snyder hanged himself in 1999. Gone and unmissed.

Many of the homeless are mentally challenged and need institutional support. But the ACLU sued to release them into the streets.

Yeah, whenever a Democrat is in office, stories about homelessness just vanish. Poof. Republican elected? WHOOSH!!! SUDDENLY THEY ARE EVERYWHERE!!!
I live in West Hollywood. The number of vagrants around here has been steadily climbing since 2007.
To: AU72
I’ve stumbled upon an important datapoint. Homelessness has only been rampant when a republican is President.
That’d be right. Only I’d say homelessness is only
a *problem* when a Republican is president.

The homeless only exist during republican administrations.
The progressive socialist-democrats can make the homeless disappear, at least as long as it suits their purpose.

If the U.S. economy was actually in good shape ... at least 10 cities or municipal regions in California, Oregon and Washington Hmmm.
Should we add Chicago to that list? Would Chicago make it seem less parochial?

They will never figure out how to correct it and get things moving in the right direction.

Yes, I know CA grows a lot of food. I can PROBABLY live without lemons and avocados...”If I have to...I guess....”
(Red Green reference.)
I’m ‘spoiled’ in that we grow a lot of our food and/or raise it or hunt for it.
I’m still not convinced that I need much of anything from either coast, and I refuse to eat the sh#t sandwiches that D.C. hands out, every day. ;)

Homelessness in the US: Courtesy of JFK, the DemoncRAT Party, and the Community Mental Health Act of 1963.

If the economy is doing just fine, then why is homelessness at levels not seen since the Great Depression in major cities all over the country? " Do we really need to ask? Really?

It was George Bush’s fault in the past and it now Trump’s per the media. The media just takes their old stories and change the name from Bush to Trump. Same game new name and still lies. Nothing has changed.

Democrats are truly the party of the rich elites, and Republicans need to rebrand themselves the party of the poor and middle class. It is just a matter of branding... since in reality they are already so.There is much wisdom in that statement.
