Fake News from Virginia

Will someone please throw an ocean of ice water on the Pelosi-Schumer-MSM axis of evil?

Their ecstasy over the results in Virginia's election returns Tuesday night shows how desperate the Democrats are for any sign of hope that their party is not already dead.

Democrats merely won the elections for governor in Virginia and New Jersey - two Blue States where they were always expected to win.

It was hardly a "wave election." Republicans suffered no surprise losses to Democrats and the GOP still controlled a huge majority of the country's governor's offices and state legislatures.

Yet by Wednesday morning the liberal media's talking heads were so happy you'd have thought President Trump had been voted out of office, the Democrats had won back Congress and Hillary Clinton had been installed on her Oval Office throne.

Republican losses in Virginia and New Jersey were gleefully framed by the liberal media as referendums on President Trump's first year, but it was Fake News.

Many republicans did not vote. Voting at my (conservative) district was almost empty. Others have told me similar. Republican voters are being turned off by the Republican establishment, who only colludes with the Democrats.

Good analysis up until the attack on the president. These never trumpets are so predictable.

Virginia has about 5.5 million registered voters. Almost 4 million votes were cast in the 2016 presidential election, with Trump getting 44.4% of the vote. Yesterday, 2.6 million votes were cast, with Gillespie (hardly a Deplorable) getting 45% of the vote. Furthermore, Northam's 1.4 million votes is short of Trump's 1.8 million votes. That is HARDLY a referendum on Trump. Indeed, I didn't do the math, but I suspect those percentages are statistically equal to one another.

As for NJ, keep in mind CC got elected on the tails of Corzine and his inept (even by NJ standards) leadership. He was re-elected right after Hurricane Sandy, bolstered by hugging Obama. His arrogance (even by NJ standards) and coattails carried over to Kim Guadagno. She didn't stand a chance.

Finally, in NYC, Comrade de Blasio won 62% of the 21% of eligible voters that turned out. 'Nuff said.

So go ahead, MSM and statists of all kinds...keep thinking this is a sign of the Trump Nation train starting to derail. PLEASE...PLEASE...keep thinking that way, all the way to 2020.

In Virginia both the candidates are pro abortion, baby in the womb murdering scum.

That said, the most read previous thought hits coming from VA, NJ and NY was this:

Why Christians should not vote for the lesser of two evils, again.

1 Samuel 15:1-3,7-9,11, & 16-23Friday October 31st, in the year of our Lord 2008

If you are a Christian, it is time for you to know the candidates you are planning on voting for, for the Lord will not hold you harmless for placing a rotten king over His people. For years now the democrat and the republicans have been counting on Christians to vote for the less of the two evils. They did this knowing full well that it is against the command of God, but by the use of little emotion, they could deceive you away from God’s path time and time again. Resolve not to allow that to happen to you this year. This year resolve to do what is right in the site of the Lord, to trust in Him and not in the republican party or the democrat.

Read and ponder with me as we go through what happened to the lesser of the two when Saul disobeyed God.

1-3 Samuel also said unto Saul, “The LORD sent me to anoint thee to be king over His people, over Israel: now therefore hearken thou unto the voice of the words of the LORD. Thus saith the LORD of hosts, I remember that which Amalek did to Israel, how he laid wait for him in the way, when he came up from Egypt. Now go and smite Amalek, and utterly destroy all that they have, and spare them not; but slay both man and woman, infant and suckling, ox and sheep, camel and ass.

7-9 And Saul smote the Amalekites from Havilah until thou comest to Shur, that is over against Egypt. And he took Agag the king of the Amalekites alive, and utterly destroyed all the people with the edge of the sword. But Saul and the people spared Agag, and the best of the sheep, and of the oxen, and of the fatlings, and the lambs, and all that was good, and would not utterly destroy them: but every thing that was vile and refuse, that they destroyed utterly.

11 It repenteth Me that I have set up Saul to be king: for he is turned back from following Me, and hath not performed My commandments. And it grieved Samuel; and he cried unto the LORD all night.

16-23 Then Samuel said unto Saul, “Stay, and I will tell thee what the LORD hath said to me this night.” And he said unto him, “Say on.” And Samuel said, “When thou wast little in thine own sight, wast thou not made the head of the tribes of Israel, and the LORD anointed thee king over Israel? And the LORD sent thee on a journey, and said, ‘Go and utterly destroy the sinners the Amalekites, and fight against them until they be consumed.’ Wherefore then didst thou not obey the voice of the LORD, but didst fly upon the spoil, and didst evil in the sight of the LORD?” And Saul said unto Samuel, “Yea, I have obeyed the voice of the LORD, and have gone the way which the LORD sent me, and have brought Agag the king of Amalek, and have utterly destroyed the Amalekites. But the people took of the spoil, sheep and oxen, the chief of the things which should have been utterly destroyed, to sacrifice unto the LORD thy God in Gilgal.” And Samuel said,” Hath the LORD as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices, as in obeying the voice of the LORD?” “Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, and to hearken than the fat of rams. For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, and stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry. Because thou hast rejected the word of the LORD, He hath also rejected thee from being king.” (1 Samuel 15:1-3,7-9,11, & 16-23 ACP/KJV)

In the race for President this year we have an Agag and a Saul, Agag represents the democrat he goes by the name of Obama, Saul is represented by the republican party he is called McCain. But there is a third choice for President he is a Southern Baptist preacher, he is a Christian and a Patriot, he represents the Constitution party and goes by the name of Chuck Baldwin.

In Maine there are some clear choices and as a Christian before you go and cast your vote you had best know these choices and candidates.

For US Senate, in Maine, I can see no way that a Christian can do anything but blank the race, to vote for either Collins or Allen is to vote for one who has a 100% pro-abortion voting record, a 100% pro-homosexual agenda voting record and a 100% anti-Christian voting record.

For the First Congressional District, southern Maine, there is no candidate a Christian can support, for a vote for either Charlie Summers the Republican or Sherry Pingree the Democrat is a vote for infanticide, homosexuality, and legislation making it a 23 year jail term for any Preacher who preaches the word of God when it comes to homosexuality.

In the Second Congressional District, northern Maine, there is the incumbent, Mike Michaud, in the past I have endorsed Mike for his strong pro-life voting record, but time has a way of changing politicians, this last two years Mike has changed he now has a 100% pro-infanticide voting record. And this year there is a man scorned by the republican party of Maine, running as a Republican he is John Frary. There is nothing that I can find that would hinder a Christian from supporting and voting for Professor John Frary. If I lived in the Second Congressional district, I would vote for John Frary.

Then there is the never to go away casino bill before the voters again, these servants of satan never seem to go away, every year we send them back to Las Vegas hat in hand and every two years they come back with more lies and false promises looking to corrupt the state and our children. No Christian should ever vote for or support gambling, I don’t care about the so called jobs, it is a lie, they are lairs, they, the leaders of the pro gambling agenda are the children of satan and you had best not vote for casino bill.

I want to leave you with these: Isaiah 26:4 Trust ye in the LORD for ever: for in the LORD JEHOVAH is everlasting strength: Joshua 24:15a And if it seem evil unto you to serve the LORD, choose you this day whom ye will serve; Luke 16:13 No servant can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.

You cannot vote for the “lesser of the two evils” and call yourself a Christian! You cannot vote for Obama, Collins, Allen, Summers, Pingree, Michaud, and/or the casino and call yourself a Christian.

First of all, no one predicted the results in Virginia (especially the HoD). Secondly the analysis is ongoing and will continue through January after the SBE releases the data. Thirdly look at the HoD races and the issue(s).

The Dems copied their 2013 strategy of running HoD Rep (against mostly GoPe) candidates. This time they had more of them, in some cases better candidates, a lot more money, and better issues. The winner was health care. The Republicans stopped expansion. Look at at the turnout in the challenged HoD races and how that juiced the Commonwealth wide races.

This election was not about President Trump. It was a very good Dem HoD strategy with excess monies, health care, rejection of GoPe, and demographic shifts - and a few more. Anyone who says it was a referendum on our President is knee-jerking and has not studied the event.

Gillespie is pro-life in his practice, pronouncements, and faith. I'm sure why you believe differently.

I have a question. How many representatives from outside of Virginia, who live in northern Virginia, vote in Virginia elections? Are any that stupid?

Yes.
The heart of the Dem success in Virginia was the failure of DC Republicans to pass an alternative to expanded Medicaid.
And that will be repeated in every non-expansion state in 2018!

The really interesting thing is I didn't see that coming. I've been working with several groups that have been successfully fighting the expansion - and thought we had won. I think a lot of other folks missed it too as a primary issue in the campaigns.

Some Christians should understand that till Jesus is on the ballot, it’s impossible to avoid without the even more unbiblical boycotting of elections altogether. These are contests for stewards not pastors, dog our cat.

I live in Stafford County which is on the southern border of Prince William County. We are not considered NOVA.

Anyway, my good friend and neighbor won a seat on the House of Delegates six years ago with about 65% of the vote. He is a very conservative man and the entrenched GOPe in Richmond did not like him. They actually redistricted his area to include parts of Prince William County and the next election he lost his seat. He did gain it back two years ago but declined to run again and now the foreigners in PW County voted in a leftist.

The Virginia GOPe cut off their nose to spite their faces because Stafford County still votes about 52% conservative but adding part of PW County turned the district blue.

I was just a study about the districts the GOP lost in VA. He was going to have a bad time of it if he ran for reelection. He actually got 56% when he ran in 2011 (the first time). The district was already in Stafford and Prince William Counties when he first ran, they were redistricted for the 2011 elections.

I know the GOP recruited a Black Conservative for this time, but was forced out after it was claimed he was taking credit for courses/degrees he didn’t obtain at college. They replaced him with Mike Makee instead, who had less than 3 months to campaign, and apparently didn’t do much. He was badly outspent by a leftist Black Dem woman, $418k to $171k, with the predictable result of a 63-37% victory, doing even better than Hillary. Just dreadful.

Unfortunately, had your friend gone up again in such a hostile atmosphere, he’d have likely lost. The absurdly high Dem turnout tossed out almost every NoVA GOP incumbent, and as it was, 12 sitting members went down statewide and they got 3 open seat (including the 2nd).
