If you are carrying a firearm, you can fire a warning shot into the ground.”

Sure thing, as long as that line is through the wolf into the ground.

I could care less about the wolves and cougars...it’s the Deer than nearly cost my life. Hit one doing 55 mph on a motorcycle 3 summers back.

I don’t know, but reintroducing wolves and grizzly bears might help slow the pussification of the American male by giving him back his natural job.

If he has to lawyer up then this is the state of the Bravo Sierra State of Oregon. No pun intended!

This state needs to be thoroughly cleaned of all ultra left winged liberals that have their heads up their posteriors.

“Get used to it, this will be the new normal for rural inhabitants and rural activities.”

Wolves are not rare in the states where they have been re-introduced A big part of the controversy is that the planted wolves are not native to the lower 48.They are very large, Canadian, pack-running, kill-for-sport beasts.

The area where I live used to be home to an elk herd 20,000 strong, which is now numbered (by the corrupt fish & game department) at about 3,000.

The reintroduction of the Canadian wolf was launched in the 80's by a rabidly politicized U.S. Fish & Wildlife Department, with a long-term goal of driving ranchers, farmers, hunters and outfitters off the land.

They have certainly had that effect on the elk.

That is crazy finding one in North Bend. I read that the Yellowstone elk herd has been decimated by the wolves and the average age of the herd increased several years because of miscarriages caused by the introduced Canadian wolves that were not native. The doe population was aging out and the herd may not recover. There was also something about the same wolves introducing some kind of cyst?

Wolves will end upfollowing the elk right down the Cedar River watershed into Hobart/Maple Valley in no time.

These things are huge. Ran into one in my backyard several years ago. Backyard is a mountain in Montana and I was crossing an atv bridge in my creek bottom with my dog running alongside me. It was about the only time I was not armed as I had just returned from traveling and had locked all firearms up except a .38 I leave for the spousal unit when I travel. I was taking the dog out for some exercise the morning after my return at first light and didn’t bother to open the safe and gun up.

Wolf was about 30 yds away and I stopped to watch it. It was watching my dog and I intently. After about a minute the wolf ambled off. My dog was so freaked out she wouldn’t put her paws on the ground for the next week, riding behind me on the atv instead.

Have had packs circle my house in wintertime and wake me up with their howling. Also the local elk and moose populations have been decimated. I always gun up now when in the backyard but haven’t run into one since. But believe me they are huge.

For your sermon, have you considered Exodus 23, verse 28 to 30? It also speaks about wild animals. Apparently the hornet can be a wild animal.

Nowadays, the cities lack large predatory animals so 2 legged predators fill the lack.

I don't think this sermon is going in a direction where I can use that passage but I have an idea for another sermon that can make use of it. Thanks for passing it along. Fortunately, I'm not the teaching elder in our church so I only have to produce a sermon once in awhile.
