Tannerite becomes Dodgeball
Am Shooting Journal ^ | 10/13/2017 | Johnzo

When shooting Tannerite becomes a game of dodgeball with mother nature. A day on the range turned into an impromptu game of dodgeball with mother nature after a Tannerite explosion sends a large rock flying directly at the shooter.

It’s hard to tell from the video, but the Tannerite seems like far away to be at a safe distance.

After making the shot, the shooter and his cameraman notice a dark shape approaching them at a pretty good speed.

He soon realizes the shape is actually a rock about the size of his head. Dodgeball! See the tannerite dodgeball video here.

After Last Vegas, tannerite sale will be a thing of the past swept away by liberals emotions.

Then people will source their own Ammonium Nitrate, Ammonium Perchlorate and german dark aluminum and make their own explosive targets.

I doubt tannerite is going anywhere soon.

The video with the narrow miss by a tannerite explosion propelled refrigerator door was better.

Typical dumbasses.

If you’re going to do this - and it seems like a blast (no pun intended) - then at least make sure that anything that can be propelled in your direction is moved out from between you and the tannerite, or move the tannerite, or move yourself. Only trees aren’t smart enough to move out of the way.

I’ve never understood the fascination some people have with shooting at explosives.
When I was in high school (1959), we had rifle safety on Tuesdays and marksmanship on Thursday. The one guy in our class who taped a shotgun shell to the back of the target lost an eye when he got hit with a pellet from the exploding shell.
I certainly would not hunt with someone that careless.

Shooting at something explosive is intrinsically dangerous. Shooting for recreation at something explosive that comes prepackaged with its own shrapnel is just stupid.

Component chemicals are pretty common.
