Has that been the experience of all the other corporate headquarters who have relocated to Texas?

Many corporations aren't infused with a hard left-liberal corporate culture. Most are merely politically correct at the executive level. Texas Normals are probably doing just fine in those companies.

Then there are companies that have a liberal corporate culture from the top, down. I believe Amazon to be such a company. Normals won't fare so well at a company like that. Many, if not most, will eventually be pushed out by subtle cultural pressures, while hiring practices will tend to favor bringing on those with the 'proper' sort of social views.

This stuff isn't rocket science. It's just human nature, and very predictable. It's a form of social discrimination no different than the racist hiring practices of a half century ago.

It will turn Collin County from purple to solid blue.

Collin County isn't really purple, it's generally one of the bluer counties in Texas. Course, with the massive pop growth in Frisco and McKinney and all that, there have been a bunch of liberals coming in turning it more and more red...

I see what you did there. Yes, Collin County is growing more and more liberal Democrat.

Tampa would be a good choice - but it’s not in the running, right?

Okay, so you have nothing to go on other than your gut feeling then, is that right?

If so, and while I might respect your opinion, it’s nothing more than that; an opinion.

You might want to rephrase comments like that in future to reflect an opinion rather than what you think of as fact.

Just sayin’....

Opinion? Not at all.

Certain companies - especially the high tech behemoths that were spawned on the left coast in the digital era, tend to have decidedly left-liberal corporate cultures. This is well known, documented, and not anyone's opinion.

Amazon is owned by Jeff Bezos, a staunch liberal supporter of Democrats and their pet causes. If you don't think he's fostered a culture within the ranks of his company that fits his political outlook, you're being just a little naive.

It’s still an opinion unless you have some kind of proof. Like I said, I respect your opinion, but until you can prove your assertion everyone working for Amazon is a (liberal) leftist; it’s still just an opinion.

It’s best to leave opinions as opinions until they can be verified as fact; a much higher bar of course.

Do you have proof?

There are no absolutes. I think it's safe to assume that no company is exclusively composed of raving moonbats. Even the most rabidly liberal outfits probably have a few normal people working for them.

But, those people survive in their jobs by skillfully avoiding the topics of politics and cultural issues. Some may survive because they're political agnostics who despise politics altogether.

American businesses didn't used to have such politically charged atmospheres, and some still don't, but it's not uncommon today to see the top execs and owners of major companies taking a liberal stand in public. Don't fool yourself into imagining they keep that stuff out of the workplace, because they don't.

I can't believe you're not aware of this trend, given all the discussion about it here.
