Someone said there is a younger man with similar name, perhaps that is who ISIS is referring to.

(12/14 - 930am -rampage begins... 12/15 - 1030am - Obama's advance team scouts photo-op locations.)
Did anyone else catch the caller on Rush's show, who said that investigators have been able to rule out ISIS within hours of the shootings, yet more than 8 months into President Trump's first term, they still haven't been able to find any proof of collusion with Russia?

I am amazed at the utter lack of curiosity about the details in this guy's life. He was obviously pretty well off. And this attack was obviously planned. And the target was not just random, but a concert overlooked by the Mandalay. Since the guy obviously planned this, there was a reason for picking that target. Why target a concert? He didn't target the offices of a casino where he had been gipped, or the judges and lawyers in a court of law where he had been wronged, or some IRS agents who performed one too many nasty audits or something. He targeted a concert and expended a fair amount of effort to do that.
Who attacks such symbols of western decadence? Presbyterians? I won't repeat the joke about the Amish, but Unitarians? Well, I can only think of one answer.
And, I am assured that that answer is wrong. So what gives here?

an FBI agent involved in the investigation said there is no evidence of a connection to terrorism at this point.
The key words.... *at this point*.
That is what the FBI does to make it look like there is no connection to Islam.
They make the truthful observation that they have not proven a thing *yet*.
But it sounds like a flat out statement of *no connection*
It is deliberately done to deceive.
They should be saying, we don’t know. We are investigating.

I’m betting it was a leftist, probably belonged to antifa, and wanted to kill right wing folk.
I don’t think this had anything to do with islam, or ISIS.

I keep an open mind about these things. The guy was clearly whacko, and exactly what might have triggered him is actually somewhat beside the point. But given where we are today, I don’t think you can take up a left wing cause, which is an anti-right wing, anti-American cause and then argue that islam and ISIS have nothing to do with it, since those issues are the fulcrum that divides well if not left and right, then at least pro and anti-Trump and surrogates for all the other issues that divide us.

“wanted to kill right wing folk.”
That may be it. Maybe he was a leftist who hated Trump and his supporters?
How could he be sure he was going to kill Trump supports in Las Vegas? A country western concert is a good bet.

He sent money to the Philippines some are saying the GF family is muslim and ISIS has repeated their claim over and over today(something they usually do not do nor do they usually claim something they are not at least a little involved with). BTW, the picture of the GF on the internet is in Dubai.
There are possible connections to all kinds of people and groups today including islam, Antifa, government, etc. The problem, they scrubbed so much of this guy before his name got out. It would have been better to let people have an idea of the guys motives. Computers have supposedly been sent to Quantico now. Not very likely we will get an answer.
