Here’s what I watch on TV:
Pat Robertson at 9 a.m. weekdays.
Great British Baking Show on PBS...and some of their nature shows.
PGA Golf all summer. (Didja see that rookie Schauffele win last weekend?)
I get all my news online.
Absolutely do NOT need cable.
Add Downton Abbey and other really good dramas to PBS watching list in last post.
I need to amend my post.
Apparently Ford no longer gives matching funds at all (last I could find was 2014) but allows their employees to donate to the Ford Motor Fund, which disburses the money as it sees fit.
What the fund says they do not support:
Advocacy-directed programs, animal rights
organizations, species-specific organizations
Beauty or talent contests, sports teams,
golf outings
Day-to-day business operations, debt
reduction, donation of vehicles, labor groups,
loans for small businesses, loans for programrelated
investments, profit-making enterprises
Efforts to influence legislation, or the outcome
of any elections, or any specific election of
candidates to public office, or to carry on any
voter registration drive, political contributions
Endowments, fraternal organizations,
organizations that do not have 501(c)(3)
status, private K-12 schools, religious programs
or sectarian programs for religious purposes
General operating support to hospitals and
healthcare institutions, individual sponsorship
related to fundraising activities, individuals
Organizations that unlawfully discriminate in
their provision of goods and services based
on race, color, religion, gender, gender identity
or expression, ethnicity, sexual orientation,
national origin, physical challenge, age or status
as a protected veteran.
Pretty significant holes there, but they don’t match. What I read was that they had a preferred 3:1 match program with The Ford Foundation back then.
Well, your Chiefs are on a roll, they certainly pounded the snot out of my Patriots to start the year...
Interestingly, the dominant sound of the crowd during the lead up to the national anthem in Foxboro on Sunday was audible boos and shouts to “stand up”.
That, in blue Massachusetts. So there is hope, however small.
