Hey, Golden State Warriors, President Trump honors winners, not whiners

The Golden State Warriors may not be visiting the White House after all -- after several high-profile players pitched a hissy fit about meeting President Trump.

“Going to the White House is considered a great honor for a championship team. Stephen Curry is hesitating, therefore invitation is withdrawn!” Trump tweeted Saturday morning.

(TWEET-AT-LINK)

Trump was responding to Curry's disrespectful and classless comments about the president and his hesitation on attending the traditional visit to 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue.

Whether Trump has rescinded just Curry or the entire team’s invitation is unclear.

“I don’t want to go,” Curry told USA Today. “That’s kind of the nucleus of my belief…(But) it’s not just me going to the White House. If it was, this would be a pretty short conversation.”(continued)

Trump exposed the Limousine Liberals (the entertainment community, Wall Street, the tech industry, and many professional athletes) for what they really are: indulgent, parochial and sanctimonious. Go read the the first Hunger Games novel, The Hunger Games, and the description of the denizens of the capital of Panem fits the Limousine Liberals almost to a "T."

NO ONE is forcing those idiots to go..they make over 100 mil a YEAR..just imagine that for a second, a 100 million dollars a YEAR some of these players make, to throw a ball around..let them have a real job, like serving in the military they would cry about breaking a nail and beg to come home..I never understood the whole idea of bringing football players and basketball players to the White House..them winning a championship series is not a national celebration its a local one

There was an Oakland school teacher a few years ago that publicly asked Warriors players to stay away from his classroom... too many kids think they have a shot at being the next Steph Curry at the expense of studies. Honestly, the collapse of the pro sports leagues would probably be a good thing for some communities.

Trump has started a fire storm...no one will go to a game for sports now..

You might go to support a team because it is Republican or Democrat...

Will only Trump supporters try out for the Olympics now ???

Trump should have said nothing and let they die on there own..

Go back to High School sports it is the real thing..

Absolutely. This whole visiting the white house tradition is something not many people care about anyway. It’s an event that, if discontinued, no one would notice. On the other hand, the MSM would notice and make a big deal about it.

I never considered basketball players and football players to be HEROES..NOTHING they do is heroic, they have a skill, YES, but many people have skills they are not heroes..the REAL heroes are our police, first responders, firefighters, military..people who put their LIVES on the line for ALL OF US..they are the ones that should be invited to the White House, not thugs who throw balls around and think they are something special

It used to be. When the athletes respected our flag and our nation and our values.

They can all go play with themselves now.

Its because they are overpaid..seriously overpaid..look at what they do and how much money they get to be nasty lil pricks. I could NEVER make in 10 lifetimes what these douche bags make in one year and for what, to throw a ball around BIG DEAL they actually think that is something special its not

Does anyone really care to look at these players visiting the White House anyway? Save us taxpayers some money and send a congratulations card to the coach with permission to duplicate to the players.

This isn’t about sports figures. Trump sees this as love of nation being under attack (”taking a knee” instead of standing for the National Anthem) and he, as President and Commander in Chief, is responding appropriately.

Sorry Curry, but you aren’t important for the President. We have a madman throwing rockets, so who cares about your unimportant visit...
