Well, I've never been happier to be wrong. The show was incredible, utilities and cell service held up, and the only traffic problems in this part of the state came from people driving 10 mph under the speed limit...typical of Idahoans any day of the year.

Hope y'all had a nice visit, and enjoyed nature's big show. I was blase about it before, but I'm now glad I saw it. I'll definitely remember the diamond ring and shadow bands for the rest of my life.

Scouts Out! Cavalry Ho!

Idaho was perfect. Our campsite location along the Snake River was perfect. The weather was perfect, with dry clear air and not a cloud in the sky. Our astrophysicist son was along to provide expert commentary.

It was such a great experience that even though it’s not his specialty, son has decided to become an eclipse chaser. We may all head to Carbondale or some place in Texas next time around.
