LOL...the first set of answers has nothing about getting killed or watching your kids getting killed. Then, next paragraph says...

It's interesting that once-poor, Latino-dominated parts of the Los Angeles metro area--specifically East Los Angeles and several smaller towns southeast of Los Angeles city limits--are gentrifying very rapidly. So much so that the fast-rising middle and upper-middle class Latinos are snapping up property and land in South Central and Watts and making them valuable again. And the large Asian population (Chinese, Japanese, Korean and Filipino) are doing the same to other parts of the Los Angeles area.

Real estate in LA is going berserk in recent years. I just sold two homes but now looking to buy one ... it’s tough.

Almost every poor neighborhood has been [or is being] gentrified. East LA Latinos have fought gentrification hard. The sturm and drang surrounding every suspicious sale is an ordeal.

They have pinpointed “coffee shops” or coffee houses and art galleries as being sort of “gateway” locations that lead to gentrification.

If theyre pulling out of the city look for realestate values to rise. There seem to be no end of people who put a premium on city living. High crime is the only thing that slows them down...and that not much. Might be buying opportunities in ChiTown.
