Nowadays companies are just pushing women/minorities into positions with high titles/pay and little responsibility just to fend off lawsuits. It has allowed me and other men to work A LOT LESS than we had in the past; what’s good for the goose is good for the gander.

I’ve been working like an old white female token for years now, working less hours than ever for more money than I’ve ever brought in before.

What a deceiver. There have been scads of women in the software engineering profession for my entire professional career (1983+). Women get all kinds of special privileges and incentives.

I as a white male I have been disadvantaged because I am NOT black and NOT female. I have had to work that much harder for promotion and advancement so that my managers would not be liable for charges of discrimination.

The race card, now the vagina hat — these are tools to create advantage, not equality.

The inconvenient truth is that women now know what is demanded of these high-paying jobs, and most want none of it. Despite half a century of social engineering and government interference, women are still gravitating towards traditional “female” jobs - and it is no accident.

They got the equality they wanted, and are opting out in terms of the STEM careers.

My son attends a small specialty engineering university. Truly a gook school. Of the 500 or so full time students, there are maybe a dozen females.

If the girls are qualified and lean toward those pursuits, great, but if you’re just trying to check the AA boxes, forget it.

I have a friend who works in a highly technical field. He told me that one of his co-workers checks all the boxes, female, black, lesbian etc. and is highly incompetent, yet keeps getting promoted.

That’s the danger of hiring by gender or other stereotypes rather than by skill

Moo hie, your powers of intimidation disappeared November 8th, 2016. You are irrelevant.

That is done solely to protect against lawsuits; the government has determined we should have equal outcomes, and companies that don’t play ball are sued for millions. We are morphing into a “post-work” economy; at my job many tokens simply socialize while working (honestly) about 5-10 hours per week. The tokens hire more of their own, which guarantees 1) nobody under them will take their job - they are equally incompetent, and 2) white men will always have job security - nobody knows how to do their job, or wants to learn.

You mean stupid, mean, loud-mouth, fat-butted women with no skills to offer? Sort of like you?

Michelle could do for silicon valley what she did for school lunches

Posted it twice but should be posted hundreds of time. There is very much truth in that statement.
