Isn’t it interesting how liberals use comparisons to Japan to get us to invest in their pork barrel infrastructure projects, when all the trains in Japan are privately-owned (at least the most technologically advanced ones are).

Japan can provide the best rail system in the world to the 35 million denizens of Tokyo with a private ownership system and yet the US government can’t even have a functioning transit system that runs on time in Boston: a city of only six hundred thousand.

My sister and her husband are returning to Michigan after an extended train ride to San Francisco through northern states. Said it was a wonderful trip.
Sure, just charge $10,000 to go a few hundred miles.... I’m sure that everyone will pay that.
