Couples are fighting over President Trump more than ever, and many are turning to divorce court to get out of their politically ravaged marriages.

New data from Wakefield Research found that one in 10 couples, married and not, have ended their relationships in a battle over political differences. For younger millennials, it's 22 percent.

And nearly one in three Americans said that political clashes over Trump have "had a negative impact on their relationship," said the report provided to Secrets.

"Since Donald Trump's election, political discourse in the U.S. has been more tense and divisive than ever," Wakefield said.

Call it the end of the Carville-Matalin era, when relationships like Clinton adviser James Carville's marriage to Bush family adviser Mary Matalin were celebrated.....

The mistake was made when you chose to marry a woman/man who would vote for a baby killer.

If your partner doesn’t believe in your children’s (potential or otherwise) right to exist... what’s a divorce on the scale of evil?

Was it Trump or living with a radical sanctimonious liberal?

Shoot, I know of one family that bitterly fought over the pathological liar Barack Hussein Obama.

The dad “was going to move to Canada if Trump was elected”.

See if you can guess if that really happened. /Miley Cyrus

You really can’t marry someone who has a different set of values and expect to stay married....unless, like Matlin, it’s your very last chance to acy6ually get married and have children and are a squish anyway.

Gee whiz, what a treat for your boyfriend to be a Commie cuck or your girlfriend a man-hating Marxist harridan.

However, as Paul Harvey would say, here's the rest of the story.

"Two unrelated online dating reports confirmed the rise of political incompatibility. They showed that Democrats are especially unlikely to date a Trump-supporting Republican, but Republicans are more inclined to give Clinton-supporting Democrats a try. (emphasis added)"

It would seem that the "hate-mongering" Republicans are more tolerant than Democrats.

It’s true. 50 years ago you might’ve been able to get away with marrying someone of the opposition, but the values of the right and left are so antithetical to each other today. One stands with the God, the other stands with the Dark One and all of the degraded depravity that goes with it.

I couldn’t have done it, 50 years ago, either. But you’re correct, now it truly is IMPOSSIBLE to do that.

Better to deal with eventuality now than drag it out and suffer.

You may have a point. 50 years ago, she (or he) would’ve been a weepy JFK disciple (and now we know how much of a degenerate he was...). 60 years ago and they’d have been “Agitating for Adlai.”

Nah, let's call it what it is - the end-result of the liberal campaign to demonize non-liberals. If you're convinced that anyone who doesn't agree with you is evil, of course you'll do your utmost to wall yourself off from them - even if they are your significant other. Pretty pathetic.

When “Everything is Politics” this is the result. A common Demo belief.

Bad judgment kills marriages.
