Taxpayers are scrambling to get their taxes done, and sadly watching too much of their hard-earned cash being sucked by the behemoth that is the federal government. While trying to make ends meet for their families and searching around for every last deduction, many taxpayers may be shocked to find two things: That Planned Parenthood, the nation's largest abortion vendor, is still getting more than $500 million of government funds every year, even though they have been referred for criminal activity by committees in both the U.S. House and Senate; and, that abortion is tax-deductible.

Taking the abortion tax deduction is part of accepted medical expenses as part of the IRS Publication 502, Medical and Dental Expenses. Out of curiosity, what other kinds of medical expenses can one deduct?

Good question....Planned Parenthood already gets a ton of taxpayers money, why are we also letting abortions be tax deductible! It is time to STOP this deduction...

Why is anything tax deductible? It is the government incentivizing the activity. It’s the core reason for it.

One reason is most Americans don’t know this. I didn’t and find it disgusting.

Because the legislators are happy to see babies killed if they can do a favor in return for all those votes and campaign contributions.

How many people exceed 10% of their income with medical expenses and are still young enough to get an abortion? If you make very little the standard duduction takes over so you don’t itemize medical expenses and if you make a lot that 10% starting point is huge.

Because it’s a surgical procedure. Like it or not, that falls under medical expenses.

You cannot pick and choose. And do you really think that most of the women getting abortions are itemizing?

Much ado about nothing. (The deduction, not the killing.)

Agree. That is why I prefer the flat tax with no deductions instead.

The government knows what sort of citizens would seek an abortion. They are considered to be undesirable people, who would be better off not having children that would load down the welfare system.

Hitler wrote extensively on this before he came to power.
