We have lots of geese here. Every morning and evening they fly down the river honking. I’ve watched the gaggle grow from 18 a few years ago. They paraded a couple dozen brand new babies by a few days ago. They’ll have one or two guards at the front, a couple more in the middle and a couple at the end of the group. Last spring, they were so proud of the babies that they we honking and honking going past. Even the dogs stood in awe without barking.

When I was a kid my buddy had a goose that he used to tease. Geese can be mean SOB’s.
Thanks for that. There’s a park with a lake near my house where my wife and I go walking. There is a large number of geese there and occasionally I’ll watch their antics. They are fascinating.

The damn things even stop traffic as they stroll across highways........
They now inhabit every lake, every pond in every subdivision and their numbers are growing.
The only possible solution is to destroy their nests and eggs during the spring since you can't shoot them in the suburban habitat in which they thrive.........

Did you appropriate duck culture, and name any of them Jack, Kack, Lack, Mack, Nack, Oack, Pack or Quack?
