An Elkhart-based manufacturer is expanding its presence in New Haven.
Lippert Components Manufacturing Inc. will invest more than $15 million to build a 300,000-square-foot factory at Edgerton and Ryan roads, according to a filing with Allen County's Department of Planning Services.
The company will move in about $4 million in equipment, retain 185 jobs and add 140 positions paying $15 an hour on average, according to the filing.
Plans call for vacating Lippert's facility on Nelson Road as operations are consolidated. The company makes seating for pontoon boats.

Congratulations Indiana
Let’s hope the skilled trades guys make more than $15, otherwise, you can’t provide for a family on that amount.
Big deal, 150 minimum wage jobs. /s
The thing absolutely no one is talking about is the huge number of career jobs there are at or near $15 an hour.
The libs speak only on fast food jobs, but if they shove a $15 minimum wage through, it will damage the careers of millions.
Wow, $15.00 per hour. One can make more with less effort via welfare and earned income tax credits. Sarcasm of course, but then again ....
I was a state employee with a fancy sounding but meaningless technical title that made less than $15 and could barely function as a single person.
One of many reasons I ditched being a state drone a long time ago.
There is no virtue in poverty.
I have lots of family in that area. The area is booming. $15 dollars an hour has become the de facto starting wage there. The cost of living is low there and you can pick up a nice starter home cheap. I will probably be moving up there before the year is out.
