Fox News pulls Napolitano after his Trump wiretap claims
The Hill ^ | March 20, 2017 | Rebecca Savransky

Fox News has reportedly pulled Andrew Napolitano from the air indefinitely after he made claims that a British intelligence agency had wiretapped Trump Tower.

Napolitano, a Fox News analyst, is not scheduled to appear on the network in the near future, the Los Angeles Times reported, according to people familiar with the situation.

Last week, Napolitano made the claims about the Government Communications Headquarters (GCHQ) spying on Trump at former President Barack Obama's behest.

White House press secretary Sean Spicer then quoted Napolitano's remarks while defending the president's claims earlier this month that the former president had wiretapped Trump Tower before the election. “Judge Andrew Napolitano made the following statement, quote, ‘Three intelligence sources have informed Fox News that President Obama went outside the chain of command,’” Spicer said during a daily press briefing last week.

"'He didn’t use the [National Security Agency], he didn’t use the CIA ... he used GCHQ.'”

GCHQ rejected Napolitano's claims that it helped surveil Trump for Obama in 2016.

“Recent allegations made by media commentator Judge Andrew Napolitano about GCHQ being asked to conduct ‘wire tapping’ against the then President Elect are nonsense,” said a spokesman for the agency, which rarely comments publicly on its operations.

The president last Friday praised Napolitano during a press conference as a "very talented legal mind."

"We said nothing," Trump said when asked about the former judge's claims. "I didn't make an opinion on it."

"All we did was quote a certain very talented legal mind who was the one responsible for saying that on television," Trump said.

"That was a statement made by a very talented lawyer on Fox [News]. And so you shouldn't be talking to me, you should be talking to Fox."

Fox News host Shepard Smith also denied Friday that his network has information validating Napolitano's remarks, saying the network knows of "no evidence of any kind that the now-President of the United States was surveilled at any time in any way."

“If they had surveillance why come up with a bunch of BS, instead of just telling the truth?”

Because their surveillance turned up NOTHING, so all they were left with was rumor and innuendo that something wrong was going on. If there was a hint that anyone in the Trump world was conspiring with Russia.... it would have been trumpeted everywhere.

The traitorous Comey admitted today that 1) “Sensitive cases” are briefed quarterly to the House/Senate Committees, DOJ, DNI and “some of the National Security Council (NSC). 2) Comey stated that despite starting the investigation 8 months ago Jun/July 16, “we” elected/chose not to brief the House/Senate Committees due to the “sensitive nature”. 3) Sometime recently, Comey and his lackey’s finally decided to brief our citizen representatives. 4) The FBI’s “Head of the Counter Intelligence Division” made the determination not to brief the quarterly “Sensitive Case” briefing. After being set straight by Congresswoman, Elise M. Stefanik about his lack of attention, his failing to ensure all pertinent government officials were aware of this “sensitive/serious/severe” situation, Comey finishes with an ad-lib mega omission...”Sometimes we want to keep it tight within the Executive Branch”.

Hello boys and Gals, if the former President of the United States, his senior staff, NSC and countless others in the Administration didn’t know, I kiss my own ass. They knew, they advocated and they egged it on.

Comey lied and in my opinion perjured himself. At a minimum, submit to a “full polly” along with all the other POS’s.

Review the film, challenge my take.

If they went to a former GCHQ agent to prepare the fake dossier on Trump, why wouldn’t they use them to tap his and his staff’s phones?

We’ve done the same—switched from Fox to FBN. Love Varney and Dobbs. We only flip over to Fox to catch Tucker and Hannity.

F & F, though they can be goofy sometimes as to their topics are still pretty solidly conservative. They had Judge Napolitano on often.

It’s my understanding that countries do this for each other routinely. When it would be imprudent for the US to spy on an American citizen, the agency involved will just ask the Brits to do it and vice versa. Nothing out of the ordinary.

Your assumption could be correct. Didn’t we read a number of threads above information on Murdock and Skye TV and their performance in merry old England? http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/3536592/posts

Right now Napolitano could get on any news program he likes, besides FOX.

"3) Sometime recently, Comey and his lackey’s finally decided to brief our citizen representatives. "

Ah, it was on a weekend about 3 or 4 weeks ago is my guess. Remember when he went up to the Senate on I think it was a Sunday and they left the building out of back doors and the buzz was they were white as a ghost?..... Am I the only one to make this connection?

I stopped watching FOX about a year ago. I only watch One America News and radically cutting back on television in general.

And Murdock at this time is in negations with British regulators regarding SKYe TV and control. Seems he would do a great deal in order his desires be fulfilled. See links in this thread

SMH, how deep does the skullduggery cut?

Nobody. Probably little Jimmy Murdock and his Clinton Climate Foundation wife. FOX was really a neutral show. Now it’s become totally lib. This was a warning shot to all the other presenters.

Stopped watching FNC with the exception of Hannity, awhile back. Just watch FOX Business, maybe Nap will be on that show.

It seems like they are all hiding behind the exact phrase “wire tapping,” which they don’t do anymore. Pretty clear from Wikileaks Vault 7 that trump has been under electronic surveillance for years.

If you have any doubt that the Brits, i.e., GCHQ, along with Australia, Canada and New Zealand are/were conducting electronic surveillance in the United States (and the United States, i.e., NSA, conducting electronic surveillance on all of them) Google “Project Echelon” and “FIVE EYES”...

The EVIDENCE that the Trump campaign and Trump’s associates were the targets of electronic surveillance is the very existence of a transcript of the conversation between Mike Flynn and Amb. Kislyak; there’s no other way to obtain that transcript. It’s entirely possible that the Brits did not provide the transcript of Mike Flynn’s conversation with Amb. Kislyak. It could have been New Zealand, Canada or Australia. Of course, it’s equally possible that it was a “rogue” (Read: Loyal to Obama) element of the US Intelligence Community or a law enforcement agency with the capability to intercept communications.

I do recall pix and video of the lead FBI traitor slinking out of the White House that weekend day. 8 months and two missed “quarterly” briefings, Comey is now so virtuous

If this isn’t President Trump smoking out the “rats”, we are in so much trouble.

Peace...

Google “Project Echelon” and “FIVE EYES”...

ManHunter is correct. Obama used ECHELON to get the surveillance done. That is why there's not going to be any paper or digital "evidence" found.

It's also why all mention of this has been scrubbed from the MSM; the five participating nations cannot allow their populaces to become aware of this mechanism they've devised to circumvent their much-touted "civil protection" laws against domestic spying on their own citizens.

Napolitano will be lucky if the only consequences he suffers is being given a temporary time-out. And, unless Trump finds a living, breathing whistleblower witness willing to testify, he's going to be falsely impeached by fabricated "evidence".
