This Trump as Hitler stuff gets so old after a while.

I was talking to someone who stated that Trump is like Hitler, and that you can see the historic parallels between Trump taking power and how Hitler took power.

I asked her some tough questions in that regard.

I asked her, what is the equivalent of the Reichstag(sp?) fire, and Hitler seizing emergency powers?

What is the equivalent of the Reichstag giving Hitler such powers, when they rigged the vote by arresting political opponents and storm troopers locking other political opponents out from the vote?

What is the equivalent of the outlawing of other political parties, and the Nazis taking political prisoners?

What is the equivalent of singling out and targeting enemies such as the Jewish people, and then decreeing laws which deprived them of German citizenship?

What is the equivalent of Hitler’s storm troopers??

Well, in response to such questions, she told me I’m just not seeing the big picture.

Typical liberal, I think. Liberals tend to be dismissive of any inconvenient facts. She just dismisses any idea of specifying the alleged parallels to Hitler, and says I’m not seeing the big picture.
