Accenture said on Friday it would create 15,000 jobs in the United States, as IT services firms brace for a more protectionist U.S. technology visa program under President Donald Trump.
The company is domiciled in Dublin, Ireland, but a majority of its more than 380,000 employees are in India.
IT services companies came under the spotlight after Trump said that his administration would focus on creating more jobs for U.S. workers, who had been affected by the outsourcing of jobs abroad.
Major IT service companies, particularly those based in India, use H-1B visas to fly engineers to the United States to service clients, but some opponents argue they are misusing the program to replace U.S. jobs....

I used to work for Accenture. They off shored our jobs to India in 2005 and in order for us to get our severance, we had to train our replacements. No love lost there for that company.
Wow! Schools better get busy cranking out some people who have the needed skills and know how to work. Can’t work at Accenture if your knowledge base is limited to essential oils and the 57 genders.
Will they hire White old guys who speak English like an American?
Maybe with MCSE and decades of experience, a princely sum of $14 an hour.

My company made raises bigger this year. I think they suspect there will be a shortage of tech H1b’s.
Despite the ways things are going at my place of business, there was a bonus payout earlier this month. It was a nice unexpected surprise.
Mine went to replace a wonky netgear router, some charitable donations for the spouse on Valentine’s day, and some pieces and parts for the old jeeps and blazer.
Supposedly some layoffs are coming next Friday but not in my area. The group in question has a few friends of mine.
They must have discovered that Americans will now work for lower wages than H1Bs.
The trend is now to bring Indian IT here to displace Americans directly in our own country. It is just another gift from obama and bush.
