Truth be known, she probably left him for another woman.
In my case my wife announced her support for Trump before I did. I liked what he was saying but I was still in the Cruz camp. First off I didn't really think Trump was serious, and secondly I was concerned about him not really being conservative. But it was soon after my wife announced her support I started paying more attention to Trump. It wasn't many weeks after that, that I had made the complete transition over to Trump. I said what have we got to lose, before Trump ever even said that to the black population. Cruz was starting to show his flaws and I became convinced that he did not have what it takes to actually win the General Election.
He’d do well to be rid of this silly b!tch sooner rather than later.

I agree with the 2 of you. I can’t imagine the hell of marriage to a lib husband. I’m fortunate at a relatively late time in life (post 50) to have married a wonderful, God-fearing, conservative man. And he was well vetted as to his political ideology BEFORE marriage. A concept that seems to fall by the wayside too often nowdays.
I can agree with the comments about broken vows in principle but how committed to a relationship can one be in the first place if you jump into a relationship with someone who doesn’t share fundamental beliefs. I tend to think its the libs without the fundamental beliefs to understand to words “vow” and “committment.”

That is the perfect public example of a relationship I cannot understand as a conservative woman. Why subject oneself to that? One can find enough marital discord even with a politically (morally) like-minded husband.
Furthermore, as a Christian woman, I take seriously that part about the husband being the head. That is an easy thing knowing my husband understands his part in those scriptures also. But a key thing is that he shares my conservative values. For me, it would be a major hurdle maintaining my part in marriage to a lefty. Again, a downhome argument for extreme vetting.
Not, "Until I might find something better" or "Until she does something politically that I disagree with". "Until Death Do Us Part" was what I remember.

Great post. I had the same attitude during my 30 years with my late wife. We generally agreed on politics though, even though she always thought I got too worked up over it.

Many people never grow up. Hate is a terrible thought to have and to hold. But the liberals and many democrats and some republicans encourage such feelings. Sad days ahead for America and many Americans.
