Was Bradley Manning Pardoned Because He's Trans?

Espionage and Treason are Future Murder

I'm listening to what I think is Bach's greatest work, Mass in B Minor Jordi Savall, along with the Goldberg Variations Murray Perahia, as Bach's other greatest.

My Russian friend, Venjamin, who has more music in his little pinky than I have in my whole body, but he doesn't really do the 'Highbrow' thing, asks me, 'Do you think there are any modern composers as good as those classical ones in the 17- and 1800s?'

My answer is, 'Yes, I think Prokoviev was terrific'. (Lieutenant Kije was a terrible film, that promoted immorality, but the music is wonderful.)

'But he was a Communist'. Prokofiev signed a public letter, I think in the NY Times, protesting that Ethyl Rosenberg shouldn't be executed for atomic spying.

But consider, espionage and treason are future murder. There would be people in the future who will die because of today's spooks. So those crimes are worse than murder, worse than individual instances of mass murder, because, potentially, unlimited numbers of people could die in the future.

Was Bradley Manning pardoned because he was Trans?

That was my take. Obama (& the Dems) pandering to the LBGT community and their supporters.

Absolutely...The Feds have guaranteed his “nut cut” but it couldn’t be done in the prison. Let’s see if he goes through with it. Bet not...

Well, re Manning, it was convincing prima facie evidence of insanity.

As for 20th century music to match much of earlier times, we have Puccini, Stravinsky, Orff, Holst, and Ravel. Just some.
Tastes vary.

Almost certainly.

He certainly wasn’t pardoned for being a whistleblower.

All the whistleblowers deserve pardons... and medals.

His sentence was commuted because Julian Assange promised to be extradited to the USA if Obama freed Bradley.

Now Assange can be made to answer for making Hillary Clinton lose. I’m not sure what game Assange is playing but it looks like he’s running headlong into a furnace.

Is the Pope Catholic? (Apologies, that might not be a self answering question to a large number of faithful Catholics today.)

Actually I think he's "trans" in order to gain sympathy and assistance from the ACLU, etc.

Also, I wonder if this is a prelude to Obama giving Hillary a full pardon, probably on Fri. morning as the last thing he does in office. What Hillary did was much more egregious so if the Hildebeast is pardoned, then poor little "Chelsea" Manning must be pardoned also.

He certainly wasn’t pardoned for being a whistleblower.

That depends on what kind of "whistleblower" we're talking about here!

Of course, he was.

Wondering how Dems reconcile Manning with “the Russians and Wikileaks hacked the Dems email and won the election for Trump?”

This should be amusing over the next several days — watching the spin cycle over at the MSM.

Imo, no. I think he was pardoned because it was another slap in the face of people on the Right and because he can.

Manning wasn’t let off the hook because he’s trans. He was let off the hook because Obama is a pandering ass.

Was Bradley pardoned? Or was it (no pun intended) Chelsea?

Might the other one still face charges?

Hey, let’s look at the positive side. Now “we” (the people) don’t have to pay for his little chopitoffame operation!
