Sorry, Meryl but that hypocritical anti-Trump rant was easily the worse . . .

Sorry, Meryl but that hypocritical anti-Trump rant was easily the worst performance of your career (apart from that time you gave a child rapist a standing ovation)

By Piers Morgan for MailOnline

Oh, Meryl.

Not you, too?

Just when I thought we’d exhausted the reservoir of Trump-hating luvvies, up pops the biggest star in Hollywood to join the bandwagon and stick one more stiletto-heeled boot into the President-elect ten days before his inauguration.

Let me make one thing clear before I continue: I love Meryl Streep.

She’s the greatest actress in history (and not, as Trump disingenuously tweeted today, ‘one of the most overrated in Hollywood’!). She’s also, and I speak from personal experience, a delightful woman - incredibly smart, warm, funny and decent.

Darn it. I agree with Piers Morgan about something. That's sort of like finding that in all the world of Brussel sprout, you found one that is not completely disgusting.

But here it is . . .

I’m still surprised that Piers head didn’t pop like a termite dust filled piñata when Clarkson punched him.

Jeremy Clarkson knocked some sense into him, perhaps?

The awards remind me of Giacamo the Court Jester, giving Bozo the Clown and award for portraying Wamba the Fool.

Sorry, but the lectern at an awards ceremony is the least appropriate time to lecture someone about your political beliefs. Go on a debate and discussion show, but don't do it when people tune in for a different reason.

She’s the greatest actress in history

Except for Katherine Hepburn, Audrey Hepburn, Helen Hayes, Julie Harris, Claire Bloom, Ingrid Bergman, Bette Davis, the list is almost endless. And my current young favorite from Orphan Black, Tatiana Maslany (she's remarkable). Mimicry is an acting tool. Because of all the regional dialects in Britain their actors are the best trained in it, closely followed by the Aussies and Kiwis. Streep uses it like a carpenter uses a hammer, it's her best friend and impresses those who don't have the ear or the knack for imitation. Hence her being "over rated", in this case ridiculously so.

Meryl honey, you are an actress (yes I said actress), you have the gift of acting and if you truly possess talent you can even memorize theatrical passages, perhaps even Shakesphere. Mel wasn’t too happy with his queen mother from his adaptation of Hamlet and yes, there is the luxury of not having that much memorization while making a motion picture, but honestly, the next time you wish to rant, study the Jonathan Pie rant concerning the HRC debacle and the WTF’s that character brings out and the derision he casts upon the DNC, and the voters who cashed in their chips frivolously on the old horse who couldn’t.

At least it would have been stunningly entertaining and not the miserable dirge which you uttered on YOUR night at YOUR tribute! WTH were you thinking? It was your moment to bask, not whine, and you flopped to boot!

What’s going on with Piers?

There is an old saying that "Countries do not have friends; they have interests."

I suspect that many (most) figures in the media don't really have an ideology. If a black Progressive is in the White House, Piers will support him come hell or high water. If a NYC Real Estate guy ends up in the White House and wants to drain the swamp, Piers will support him come hell or high water.

He's a boot-licker.

Note that some folks (Andrea Mitchell) only know how to lick the Left boot, but some of them (Piers) are capable of shifting from Left to Right if the need arises.

She began by saying that Hollywood, foreigners and the press are ‘the most vilified segments of American society right now’. At which point the cameras panned out to hundreds of the richest, most privileged people in American society sitting in the audience in their $10,000 tuxedos and $20,000 dresses, loudly cheering this acknowledgement of their dreadful victimhood.

A thousand movies rolled out by Hollywood have trashed traditional Americans, white fathers, and anyone 'Christians'.

We know Hollywood... we know they hate us - hate traditional Americans - we've seen their 'films'...

Now the newest insult - the newest outrageous lie against us. Meryl Streep demands we see her and her uber rich multimillionaires Hollywood friends (people who control much of the culture) as powerless victims.

To add insult to injury Meryl Streep wants to extend her 'victim-hood' to the people who buy ink by the trainload. She's concerned Billionaires who own and run the MSM, it's presses, and TV Networks need HER help in standing up to powerless private citizens with their computers and twitter accounts.

Meryal Streep stands firmly with an army of Goliaths against the powerless 'David'... She's telling us 'the powerful' will crush private citizens in flyover and those who dare to disagree with the 'in' crowd. Meryal Streep is a thug - a bully - the same as the 'elite' thugs in that room who applauded her.

Meryl is ONLY good for mother-in-law and nagging wife rolls,
and her TV rant has made that perfectly clear.

She's driven to this by all the lonely Friday and Saturday nights she had to spend, alone, kissing her image in the mirror, leaving it a mess to clean up the next day and wondering if her phone might, somehow, be out of order.

To make matters worse, she looks (and may even SMELLS) as bad as Hillary.

*I'm going to have to put off lunch for at least and hour until that thought wears off.
