As Donald Trump Denies Climate Change, These Kids Die of It

TSIHOMBE, Madagascar — She is just a frightened mom, worrying if her son will survive, and certainly not fretting about American politics — for she has never heard of either President Obama or Donald Trump.

What about America itself? Ranomasy, who lives in an isolated village on this island of Madagascar off southern Africa, shakes her head. It doesn’t ring any bells.

Yet we Americans may be inadvertently killing her infant son. Climate change, disproportionately caused by carbon emissions from America, seems to be behind a severe drought that has led crops to wilt across seven countries in southern Africa. The result is acute malnutrition for 1.3 million children in the region, the United Nations says.

Trump has repeatedly mocked climate change, once even calling it a hoax fabricated by China. But climate change here is as tangible as its victims. Trump should come and feel these children’s ribs and watch them struggle for life. It’s true that the links between our carbon emissions and any particular drought are convoluted, but over all, climate change is as palpable as a wizened, glassy-eyed child dying of starvation. Like Ranomasy’s 18-month-old son, Tsapasoa.

Isn't Nicholas Kristof that guy that Jane Curtain's character on Weekend Update was based on, the one that Dan Aykroyd would answer by saying "Jane, you ignorant slut."

The government of Madagascar has more than do with this child and mother’s suffering than “climate change”, but of course you can’t expect an idiot reporter from the Slimes to tell you that. All government entities are more compassionate than the three evils in this world according to liberals: Trump, Russians, and climate change.

There were never any droughts anywhere before America’s carbon emissions that are somehow worse than China and India’s greater emissions. All bad weather in the world is magically America’s fault. Who knew?

Jesus, these people are completely unhinged.

They make me rethink my gun control position.

We need to keep guns away from them.

and the answer is- of course- America should be overcome with suicidal guilt, turn off all factories, stop driving and flying and return to the Dark Ages. Coincidentally- that’s what Islam demands too....hmmmm.

The frustrating thing is that 62,000,000+ Americans believe this manufactured hoax.

“Climate change, disproportionately caused by carbon emissions from America, “

Kristof, you nor anyone else can prove that to the preponderance of evidence standard.

Fake news.

"disproportionately caused by carbon emissions from America,"

The largest producers of CO2 emissions worldwide in 2016, based on their share of global CO2 emissions

China 28.21%
USA 15.99%

"Total human greenhouse gas contributions add up to about 0.28% of the greenhouse effect."

“Climate change, disproportionately caused by carbon emissions from America, seems to be behind a severe drought that has led crops to wilt across seven countries in southern Africa”

What Completely & TOTAL BS!!!!! China is the worlds leader in emissions and even all of this total emissions are still not behind any severe drought.

You can have your misplaced ideas, however we must all use the same FACTS!!! (Not CNN BS talking points)

No one denies climate change. The climate changes all the time. People deny that man is the direct primary cause and that taxing man will prevent or make climate change better. You can not predict next weeks weather accurately so don’t tell us you can predict the weather 100 years from now!

And my liberal friends cannot rationally respond to those statements.

You have GOT to be kidding me.

This one takes the cake of every irresponsible, hyperbolic, hysterical BULL FECES GARBAGE I’ve read on the faux subject of “climate change.”

Sheer lunacy.
