In an interview with Reason magazine, celebrity chef, Obama idolator, and Trump hater Anthony Bourdain blamed the rise of the president-elect on people like himself.

Bourdain does not get it by half. He is an obnoxious elitist. That much he got right. the rest is his atheism, debauchery, and anti-Constitutional statism.

Bourdain is a full-on Euro leftist. His show is the only thing on Saturday nights but it's hard to get past his effusive praise for all his lefty pals and leftist ideology. 3rd world culture and street food are so superior to all things Western - except France.

Bourdain--like many on the Left--are only familiar with the people living in the New York City, Los Angeles, Washington, DC and Chicago areas--essentially parts of the USA that look condescendingly at everyone else. Trump tapped into the sentiment of "everyone else" and won the election that way, hence the reason why the Leftist elites have essentially turned into Generation Snowflake in response to the election.
