Stephen Miller has been a key figure in the Trump campaign, and is likely to be one in the Trump White House. He wrote most of Trump's speeches after he joined the campaign from the officer of Senator Jeff sessions, in January of 2016. Stephen Miller and Steve Bannon are very close, and have been for years. Bannon has already been named as senior counselor and chief strategist.
Trump has been consistently pro-Second Amendment during his campaign. I do not see minor, ambiguous statements, such as checking with the NRA about whether people on the terrorist no-fly list should be able to buy guns from a federal dealer, as inconsistent. No candidate can be 100% knowledgeable about all issues all the time. Trump has been more forcefully pro-Second Amendment than any president elect since at least 1865.
From a Politico article, this gem shows the Second Amendment was a source of Stephen Millers core values. As with many conservatives, the Second Amendment was a foundational stone in their understanding of American political structure. It is clear that Stephen Miller formed this understanding before he was 16 years old. From politico.com:
Miller was born into a family of lawyers and salesmen, two professions he never pursued but clearly has in him. His parents were Democrats, but Miller was pulled in a different direction early, converted to the conservative cause by a copy of National Rifle Association CEO Wayne LaPierres 1994 book, Guns, Crime, and Freedom, a blistering takedown of the arguments for gun control.
Very rarely in history do people get the opportunity to vote for true, real, profound change, he began, spinning the same themes he had used in our conversation. I would venture to say this is an opportunity is not just a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. This is the kind of opportunity that comes once in many hundreds of years. And its important, its crucially important, that every morning we wake up, were cognizant of just how historic and how rare this opportunity is. Cause folks, its not gonna come again.Second Amendment supporters have Stephen Miller as an ally in restoring Second Amendment rights.
Outstanding news!!!!
It gets better and better.
Molon Labe!
President Reagan was great, but he also made a few big mistakes (including the 1986 “one time” Amnesty, and not repealing bad gun laws). I hope President Trump will learn from both Reagan’s successes and his mistakes. A good speechwriter can help with that - a lot.
The most important lesson is to roll back losses from the years out of power, so that big government liberals have to fight again for the ground they took from us. Retaking the same ground demoralized American soldiers in Vietnam, and I hope it will demoralize the communists this time around.
Trump carries.
I doubt that is gonna change anytime soon.

Brilliant strategy! Just, Brilliant! :)
I really don’t believe that if any of the other Republican candidates would have won, they would have had the guts to use the same staunch 2A people or select the same Supreme Court Justices as Trump.
President Reagan carried as well, but he kept it secret.
Trump brags about it.
Big difference. Trump keeps looking better and better.
I hope it continues for the next 8 years.
This is the best news I have read YET about Trump.
what would really’be great’is for him to point out he can carry in other places regular folks cant because hes president.
every address to congress, he will be carrying in the capitol building.
he carries in every federal building.
he carries in every school. library. courtroom.
maybe he can say he is working for everyone to have the same ability because thats what the 2a is all about.

No small thing, this.
And it is true.
No other Republican, not to mention Democrat presidential nominee or president elect has been one tenth as supportive of the Second Amendment.
The best you can say for Republicans is that they did not actively work at infringing the Right. The best President Duba did was not work at renewing the Assault Weapon Ban.
The best Reagan did was pass a very watered down Gun Owners Protection Act of 1986.
Kennedy was an NRA member as a Democrat. The Dems turned hard anti-Second Amendment with Johnson, and have gotten much worse over the years.
After the election I finally got my concealed carry permit.
I have always believed we should not have to have a permit, but I avoided getting one primarily because I did not want to be on a list of gun owners while the government was in the hands of the communists.
After Trump’s win, that concern evaporated.
Interesting.
I think hiding has not been an option since about 2002.
Buy any ammo or gun accessories with a credit card? On the list.
Buy a hunting license? On the list.
Post at Freerepublic? On the list.
Subscribe to a gun magazine? On the list.
I’ve been paying cash and making private purchases.
No hunting license.
No subscriptions.
No NRA membership.
I only joined FreeRepublic last year and I am trusting Jim Robinson does not reveal my identity.
Now that the communists are out of power, at least temporarily, I would like to be in compliance with the law.
It should not be a problem for at least 4 years.
With any luck, it will be 16 years, and maybe a couple of lifetimes if we get good Supreme Court justices.
Posting on FREEREPUBLIC,,?
On the List???
I guess a tragic boat accident
Might work.
Alien Abduction perhaps ?
As an old man that spent many years defending this country and the constitution, I believe the second amendment gives you the God given right to carry a firearm without paying a tax (permit)to any government agency.
