The United States is either a nation of people ruled by laws and Constitution, or we are a nation ruled by ideological tyrants. One example of this is the illegal protecting by “Sanctuary cities” of convicted criminals.

I don’t think it’s really a locale’s obligation to enforce federal law, but wantonly ignoring or actively subverting it can certainly be met with withholding of federal monies*. It’s up to “state’s rights” to address such confrontations, not cities.

It’s part of state’s rights that they can’t be forced to use their resources to enforce federal laws.
They arrested Kim Davis for failing to follow the law that was made up by judges, why can’t they do this to mayors who fail to follow a legislatively passed law?

Better strategy is to simply cut federal funding and then watch them squirm and finally give up.
RICO all of the San Francisco City Council, Mayor, and all of their staff. Get the staff to cough up the truth and ferret out the ringleaders. Then try them in a federal court, and upon conviction put them in prison for a long, long time to make an example of them.

Allow the family victims to make a citizens arrests of these criminal mayors and governors in front of federal troops and then the troops can take them into federal custody!
Yes. They are coconspirators in whatever injury or damage befalls anyone in their city and if one of they foreigners who broke into this country, injures someone, they have shown reckless disregard for the people of that city and are guilty of same. Additionally those cities are a creation of the mayors and are attractive nuisancese and people are held accountable for those circumstances all of the time.
Just stop all federal funding to the locale. Problem solved.
