We need term limits for federal employees. No citizen should be able to work for the federal government for more than 10 years total over their lifetime with the military excluded. It should also include contractors to the federal government as well. There are over 100 million people in this country and there are more than enough of them to get their turn in federal service.

Back in the day they were not very well paid, so benefits were offered to attract and retain good workers. Now the pay has outstripped much of the private sector, and they still get the bennies.

That is SO not true. Even a hint of an allegation of racism or sexism or homophobia will get you fired.
