The Ontario Human Rights commission is about to hear a complaint from an aboriginal man, Brad Gallant. Gallant ran to the thought police to complain about the racially insensitive names of some of the sports teams in Mississauga, Ontario, just west of Toronto. Gallant is whining about the institutional racism of the city for funding and allowing those team names to remain. As the Toronto Sun reports, two of the teams names he objects to are the Lorne Park Ojibwa and the Mississauga Chiefs.
They need to bring “Brad Gallant” up on charges of misappropriating the cultural heritage of white Europeans. He needs to change his name to “Big Standing Complainer.”
Isn’t he the same bozo who filed a similar suit against the Cleveland Indians during the ALCS?
Good Grief Chief.
The word has been applied by historians and archeologists to all tribal leaders in all areas of the world where civilizations revolved around a hierarchy of men who protected their women and children against invaders.
It is one word and represents millions of our predecessors not exclusively native Americans.
“Commander-in-chief” is culture appropriation?

Chief is derived from the Latin word “kaput,” which meant “head.” so it’s not native American ?
The only thing wrong is that the Chiefs are a women’s hockey team. They should be more appropriately called the Squaws. /s

How is Indians? Or the Braves?
It serves as key recognition for the first immigrants who came to the Americas and stayed.
