The government is vigilant about protecting borders on its facilities and property, but when it comes to securing the country’s borders, not so much. Apparently some borders are more important than others borders.

(1) If you are on military land, do as they say.
(2) MP “standing down with weapons drawn” is inappropriate; first question should be “Are you an American Citizens?” from there, the situation should De-escalate.
(3) turn these bikers back and tell them they are not welcome any further than the stop.
(4) Military should not have “drawn-down” on the bikers.
My FIL (2015-RIP), prior to his 22+ discharge, spent his last 8 months walking (marching) guard duty at the Area 51 hanger on second (10:00-08:00).
He said nothing in detail and I have my personal ideas (that don’t include “aliens”).
Yet, he maintained the perimeter and I respect his service. We can leave it at that.

I approve of the way the government handled this national security issue.

The security guards were almost certainly contractors, not active duty military. ACDU MPs are far more professional than these guys were. Just my $.02 worth.
What?? Area 51 is in New Mexico - they say “yosimite in the text”. I’m sorry but WTF is that? Where are they supposedly riding, and what branch of the military drives around in white trucks and pulls their weapons on people without any provocation?
