I had been thinking about this lately and disparity of crimes per 100,000 in cities across America.

I usually use cities like Baltimore to discuss this with gun control looooon uh tics.

They are 1/2 the size of San Jose and have a horrible murder rate that is 600% times greater than San Jose.

This in a city that has gun guntrol.

That should be unacceptable to the residents and deeply concerning, as it demonstrates a real problem with their culture.

What is the social cause that motivates that many people to murder at a rate far in excess of other cities their size or even larger?

I agree. The country unfortunately has too many socialist minded people; particularly in the younger age groups but it still would not elect an openly self admitted socialist. It would be so self destructive as a country to do so IMHO.

My experience is mostly with pollsters and campaign staff in IL, and with CLI types. They were as I describe most of the time. They have a motivation to present the race as close and winnable ... if only the donors will give more money.

I’d say that is a fair assessment. I’m questioning a bit the rust belt prediction but still agree with you. I’m thinking it would depend on Bernie’s message. If too liberal, would the rust belt buy it? I’m figuring like you Bernies blue collar message would have won over enough for him to take the key states.

I watched the whole whole campaign closely, and the coverage of Trump always began with a sardonic smear, and ended the same way.

Showtime has a series on now, "The Circus", that covered the entire campaign from the beginning of the primaries to the election.

I never heard _one_ nice thing about Trump from any of the analysts or commentators, not _one_ word.

The highlight of the series, btw, was on election night, about 10:30PM or so, at Hillary HQ, when they see Donna Brazile and asked her "What do you know about Michigan" and Donna responded quickly "Detroit, Flint, low turnout".
