Oregon Bully Who Took Down Christian Bakery Tossed Out in Election
In 2013, Oregon Democrat Brad Avakian, as commissioner of the Oregon Bureau of Labor and Industries, put a Christian bakery out of business because its owners stood up for their religious convictions. Fast forward to 2016 and Avakian, not unlike many of his fellow Democrats, got served a big slice of sweet justice.
Sweetcakes by Melissa, owned by Melissa and Aaron Klein, was forced out of business by Avakian and the BOLI in 2013. Klein told Independent Journal Review that they were fined $135,000 and the state garnished their bank accounts to cover it. When all was said and done, Klein said that the state took $144,000 from them.
Avakian put these Christian bakers out of business, but in 2016, the people of Oregon ended his run for Oregon secretary of state in favor of Republican Dennis Richardson, which is the first time in 14 years the solidly blue state elected a Republican for state office.

The Democrats had all kinds of interesting plans for Oregon if Hillary was elected & Avakian got in as SoS. A friend who works for the Oregon Citizens Lobby posted this little tidbit:
“Tonight I learned the Democratic strategy for the Oregon Election. Kate Brown would have gone to DC had Hillary won, the plan was that Avakian would have become Governor, had he been elected to SOS, and one of the Dems from the Oregon Senate would have been appointed Secretary of State. I was happy that Hillary didn’t become President, didn’t know it would have devastated the state too. We really dodged one this election.”

LAKEVIEW — Willie Hamilton stood outside the Lake County Courthouse on Friday for a Veterans Day ceremony. As a bugler played and an honor guard fired off a volley, the 73-year-old retired lumber worker said he was thrilled by Republican Donald Trump’s stunning win Tuesday night.
Trump won huge support in rural Oregon, nowhere more so than in this remote Southern Oregon county, where the businessman and television personality won 78 percent of the vote.
“Rural communities, that’s what we wanted,” Hamilton said. “People are just sick of politicians.”

Thank God! That man is shockingly evil. No one who would abuse government power has any business in office, and Brad Avakian is one of the worst offenders in more than 70 years. Avakian disgusts me, and I hope he and his family are being shunned by all decent people in Oregon. I also hope his replacement will refund that stolen money to Melissa and Aaron Klein - with an apology.

Richardson may be a Republican, but he can’t be too conservative (okay, not conservative at all) if he stood a chance of election in Oregon.
