Oregon Bully Who Took Down Christian Bakery Tossed Out in Election

In 2013, Oregon Democrat Brad Avakian, as commissioner of the Oregon Bureau of Labor and Industries, put a Christian bakery out of business because its owners stood up for their religious convictions. Fast forward to 2016 and Avakian, not unlike many of his fellow Democrats, got served a big slice of sweet justice.

Sweetcakes by Melissa, owned by Melissa and Aaron Klein, was forced out of business by Avakian and the BOLI in 2013. Klein told Independent Journal Review that they were fined $135,000 and the state garnished their bank accounts to cover it. When all was said and done, Klein said that the state took $144,000 from them.

Avakian put these Christian bakers out of business, but in 2016, the people of Oregon ended his run for Oregon secretary of state in favor of Republican Dennis Richardson, which is the first time in 14 years the solidly blue state elected a Republican for state office.

That’s not good enough. I want Avakian captured and slowly tortured to near death. Let him recover and then torture him some more. Repeat the cycle, endlessly till he dies of old age.

Perhaps I am more forgiving. I would prefer that Avakian sincerely repent of his evil actions. If not, I would be happy to see him die old, alone, and bitter, knowing that his attempt to turn America into a national socialist state failed miserably - watching freedom flourish despite his best efforts.

I was going to settle for having his house burn down while he was in it, but your way works too. ;-)

This is what I’m talking about :) Get Republicans in SOS positions and clean up the vote fraud possibilities in those states. Maybe hard for Oregon if new SOS is the only Repub state elected official but hey God can make a way :)

Maybe President elect Trump could hire them for the Inaugural ball cake and desserts. Now that would be sweet (pun intended).

I'm am NOT A LAWYER, I do not give LEGAL ADVICE, but I like to share my OPINION(s!)

If anyone reading this, is running a business, and has and or keeps large amounts of cash / deposits (to me that would be in excess of $10,000.00 - $15,000.00) you need to have legal protection via a Corporation / Limited Liability / Limited Partnership. Also play like the big boy's (example Exxon-Mobile, Boeing, Macy's etc) and create a holding company. Keep all / most of your assets (Cash, Properties, Vehicle's etc) in the holding company. Yea, it can be a pain in the butt, doing the paper work, but you'll never lose it like these people did, via a lawsuit.

Example(s:)
Exxon-Mobile Inc. / Exxon-Mobile Holding Co.
Boeing Aircraft Inc. / Boeing Holding Co.
Macy's Inc. / Macy's Holding Co.
Sears Inc. / Sears Holding Co.

Think the OPINION(s!) are off the wall? Check for your self, at your Secretary of State(s) office. Either call {or search on line} and ask: Does the Mr. Big Pants Wigets Incorporated, by any chance also have (or is their a listing for) a Mr. Big Pants Wigets Holding Company?

Voters in Oregon elected the first Republican to statewide office in 14 years, Dennis Richardson as Secretary of State:

In the state of Oregon, the secretary of state is charged with auditing public accounts, managing elections, and administering public records. It’s a glorified administrative role . . . .

Throughout the campaign, [Brad] Avakian highlighted [Dennis] Richardson’s anti-abortion stance while highlighting his own environmentalism and pro-choice bona fides. Richardson, meanwhile, while undeniably a social conservative, ran as basically a numbers guy. . . . In an overwhelmingly Democratic state, Avakian managed to lose to Republican Dennis Richardson. Indeed, Richardson’s victory was the first time a Republican had won a statewide office in Oregon for fourteen years. (Hillary Clinton carried the state by ten percentage points, by the way.)

Avakian’s defeat is synecdoche for everything the Democrats did wrong this year. He ran, basically, the Lena Dunham race: Stress social issues (truly irrelevant in a race like Oregon secretary of state) and ignore what mattered to voters. Dennis Richardson stressed that he would be a competent auditor; Avakian noted that the Sierra Club liked him. Donald Trump said he would bring jobs back to the industrial Midwest; Hillary Clinton focused on the fact that Trump was rude about a Miss Universe candidate two decades ago. In both cases, we see how that worked out for the Democrats.

While indicative of the larger 2016 election cycle, the Secretary of State’s race in Oregon demonstrates what voters consider important for an election administrator: understanding of the job’s responsibilities and limits, competence, and valuing the integrity of elections. Efforts to turn election administration into a vehicle for progressive social change rightly failed in Oregon last week.

If this were the days of yore, the ‘WANTED!’ poster for Avakian would have this slammed into a cell, awaiting sunrise.
