“Roberts’ use of Jansen & Kershaw in those situations tonight was masterful. Before the game, they said Keyshawn was the only player unavailable.”

Don’t know if you follow the Dodgers but they had to use 16 starting pitchers this season and their top six left handed starters (Kershaw, Kazmir, Wood, Ryu, Hill, and Anderson) all spent a significant time on the disabled list. And Andrew Toles was out of baseball last year and started at class A this year.

Roberts is masterful at getting the most of out their players.

I'm neither a Nats or a Dodgers fan, but if it brought distress to George Will and Krauthammer, then I'm glad the game turned out the way it did.

George Will is a huge and longtime fan of the CUBS, not the Nats.

Kraut was a Orioles fan, but switched allegiances when the Nats moved to D.C.

"I predicted last night Kershaw would be pitching in the last inning if the game was on the line."

He saved the night as he stunned the opposing batters with his spirited rendition of "Diggy Liggy Lo."

About 10 PM EST, Nov 8, Trump passes 270, Will does an on air suicide. Megyn faints. Hannity laughs. Baier looks in the camera, and asks for paramedics to be called.

Will has been a fan of the Orioles, Senators, and now Nats, and yes, the Cubs are a guilty pleasure, however, he is a (or has been) a minority owner/director of the Orioles and Padres. To say he is exclusively a "Cubs fan" is a bridge too far.

All the more reason to hate the Cubs.

The Cubs are Will’s favorite team, by far. Fact. Had it been Cubs vs. Nats, he’d have laughed if you asked who he’d be rooting for. Thought everyone who knew baseball knew that. Guess not.

I was so happy about the Dodgers winning, I didn’t even consider how those 2 losers must be feeling.
I’m even happier now!

Boo. Go Nats.

In the meantime, go Cubs.

Nats failed to excute
******************************
So did my Rangers. Their top three starting pitchers each puked up in the early innings of their three games against the Jays and were quickly pulled for bullpen pitchers. Rangers couldn’t solve the Jay’s pitchers. Very disappointing, since the Rangers had the best regular season record in the Am. League.

Will has written about the wonderful victimhood of being a Cubs fan. It’s part of his schtick. He has an emotional investment in the Nats and is a season ticket holder. He attends just about all 81 games with his Down’s Syndrome son, Jon. Thought everyone who knew baseball knew that. I guess not.

The Nats have been a legitimate contender all year, but losing Strasburg and Ramos was a killer. Bad luck.
