I totally believe it. I will give an example of a problem with this car. In 20,000 miles, my window wouldn’t go down; they fixed it, and took care of a recall on it. That took two days. Now when I put the car in reverse it makes a rattle. I will bring it in next week before the 36K warranty ends. Hopefully, this problem will be covered.
I have a Toyota highlander. 70K on it, and never one problem.
No it does not. Yes, I do understand this industry a little having lived in Michigan many years with a husband who used to work in the industry who had to deal with the incredibly retarded, costly union rules that were driving the auto business out of this country.
It seems pretty firmly entrenched. Even with the Mexico expansion Ford is increasing hiring in the U.S. to make other models. Even with unions.
Well...I need a new pickup...I have always bought ford in the past and over 70+ years that's a lot of pickups.... But let me say this... If I'm going to buy a foreign made truck I will no doubt buy one made by one of our Allies.... Mexico has NEVER been an Ally of the United States that I'm aware of.... So, pee on them..!
A buddy of mine has a fairly new, but used Acura MDX. It's an electrical nightmare. Headlight problems, door locks not working, rear entertainment center not working, sunroof problems.
He's had it into the shop more times in the last two years than I can count. Funny thing is, the previous owner was meticulous with maintenance. I think he just got a bad one. I told him my CR-V takes less work.
Only thing I had to do was replace the radiator, and that was an externally caused issue (puncture from something hitting it), otherwise, it was fine. No signs of wear or tear on it at all. Hell, even my spare was the original up until 2014. I didn't even know it, as I bought it used, and never checked the spare until I went to replace all the tires.
Good to note about the CR-V. I only want a basic car. I don’t care about bells and whistles. I only need it to get to work. I am not trying to impress anyone.
True. It's paid for, it gets okay mileage - the CR-Vs were never known for good MPG, it's a small, fairly light vehicle and I rarely get over 20 MPG, the engine's just too underpowered for the vehicle. Half of my commute is open road and the other half is a series of stoplights, and I never get more than about 19.5 MPG. Yes, it's all-wheel-drive, but I got 18.5 MPG out of my 1998 Jeep Cherokee XJ with the 4.0 I-6 and 4WD. Funny thing is, you'd think the Cherokee would significantly outweigh the CR-V, but the CR-V weighs in at 3,150 lbs, while the Cherokee is only about 200-350 lbs heavier, depending on the variant.
Yes sir! Article earlier today on FR about how more MEN 24 to fifty something just not looking for work so the corrupt Marxist democratic Feds just don’t count them in order to perpetuate the lie that EVERYTHING is hunky dory!
Ford, will you please tell me that the Ford Ranger/Ford Bronco will be made in Michigan as rumored?
