It is expected that Hurricane Mathew will be impacting Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, and North Carolina within the next few days. Depending on the track and severity disruptions could be anywhere from days to a month, which puts us on the doorstep of Election Day.
Persons in these areas may want to vote prior to the arrival of the storm.
Pay attention to the Natl Hurricane Center http://www.nhc.noaa.gov/ and your local Natl Weather Svc office.

It’s NOT too early.
Please don’t spout off defeatist crap.
NOT too early = NOT too late
(NC may be too early, it’s unclear)
Even with an incoming storm, I’m still 100% opposed to early voting. There is far less scrutiny at polling places which greatly increases the odds of democrats cheating.
In my opinion, voting should have a degree of difficulty. Voter rolls should be deleted every 5 years and if you want to vote, make a trip to city hall and register. Vote only on election day unless you have a specific reason for absentee. Seasoned, sick or out of town.
Voting should be one day and one day only.
North Carolina General Election Calendar:
Oct. 14 Voter registration deadline (register to vote)
Oct. 20 Early voting and same-day registration begins
Nov. 1 Deadline to request an absentee ballot
Nov. 5 Early voting ends
NOV. 8 ELECTION DAY (Polls open 6:30 a.m. 7:30 p.m.)
Find your polling place.
Voting should be one day and one day only.”
AMEN - and only in person except for military and someone who is in the hospital or assisted living.
So far it appears Miami and coastal South Carolina will be impacted. That is a good thing. God himself is keeping the Rats from voting.
Don’t use that tone with me!
You inferred I thought, that folks run out today and vote
People are going crazy around here buying groceries and supplies, gassing up their cars, making arrangements to evacuate, if possible.
That’s ALL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I meant.
You need not respond!
I don’t wish to continue this conversation!
Within 30 seconds of posting the thread you said “too late” as in too late to vote prior to the arrival of the storm. It’s not too late, there is time to vote before the storm arrives in Florida, and most certainly before it arrives in Georgia or the Carolinas.
In FL each county can differ on the early voting days. So please check your county SOE website.
No, I will not be boycotting NFL games this weekend. Why, I can’t boycott something I don’t already watch. Or I guess I began my “boycott” years before this current problem.
Whoops, posted to wrong thread.
