I’m sure Trump being a birther doesn’t help him much. Blacks may not like Hillary but they do like Obama, and saying his administration wasn’t legitimate isn’t going to win Trump many supporters.

I’ve had some success in getting Blacks to vote Republican (But nothing like my huge success with Hispanics).
With Blacks, as with Whites, you can find correlations.
There are Blacks, Hispanics, Whites on welfare.
There are Blacks, Hispanics, Whites who work for the government...or for firms that get their money from the government.
There are Blacks, Hispanics, Whites who work for firms in the private sector. Of these some work for Large firms, some for small firms. Some in HR/PR diversity programs. Some in sales or production.
Above can be ranked in the order listed from favoring big government to favoring small government.
The same could be done for religion.
Race is just one small factor. Employment, religion, family and other factors are also very important.
When a Black conservative preachers wife took my 25% Black vote for conservatives to near 100% Black vote for conservatives she used her skills in corporate HR and her skills in the Black Church to reach and convert those I did not reach.
Why do they? They have not been given anything from the democrats but misery.
