Mandatory when I was with the department. I wear a Stetson daily and have a couple more nicer ones when I need to look a little more presentable.

Will anyone hear what he said?
The Ministry of Propaganda will bury it.

That seems to be the plan. Zimbabwe on the Potomac River.

“I wear a Stetson daily and have a couple more nicer ones when I need to look a little more presentable.”
Rich guy, huh? Just kidding.
I’ve got half a dozen straw hats of varying qualities, and one semi decent black felt for winter. I think I paid $60 for that one.
Believe it or not, the nicest looking hat I have is a $15 cheapie I bought at the Grapevine Mills mall in North Texas (see profile pic).

I don’t think I’ve ever seen Sheriff Clarke doing media wearing anything other than his uniform (hat optional). I’ll bet you that 90% of US Sheriffs of counties with similar population size wear a business suit.
Clarke is a lawman. They are administrators.

Clarke wears a cowboy hat and belt. I,m surprised the media are not drawing the obvious conclusion....
