First thing I thought of when the news of Bratton’s retirement was announced.
He wants out before ‘the big one’ hits and he gets blamed.

Well, there it is. If they can do that in New York, they can do it just about anywhere that has not the cajones to stop them.

Every concession only strengthens them.

Bratton is by far the most respected voice in urban policing, everywhere he’s been including in addition to New York, Boston and Los Angeles, the rate of violent crime has dropped dramatically, and together with the knock on effects of other departments following his lead, either with his direct consultation or not, Bratton might have saved more “black lives” than any other single person living today.
