My condolences to you on your loss Osage. It’s very hard went a beloved pet passes,it just totally tears me up,God bless.
For good reason, the dog is called man’s best friend.
I am so very sorry.
My Blue Healer is wondering what has happened....She lost her buddy.
You have my sincerest condolences. Jet was indeed blessed to have you as his family. You will see him again. This I firmly believe. He is whole, healthy, and just this side of Heaven waiting for you so that you may both go in together.
I read this brief poem several years ago. It has stayed with me ever since:
I explained to St. Peter,
I`d rather stay here,
Outside the pearly gate.
I won`t be a nuisance,
I won`t even bark,
I`ll be very patient and wait.
I`ll be here, chewing on a celestial bone,
No matter how long you may be.
I`d miss you so much, if I went in alone,
It wouldn`t be heaven for me.
I am so sorry.
My sincere condolences upon the loss of your friend.
(((HUGS)))
We always had a couple of dachshunds and a Goldie.
The Goldie was our big hugging buddy and the doxies were the comic relief. My current two are I swear reincarnation of slapstick vaudeville comedians. The Goldie currently lives with my daughter, her husband and their beagle. I miss the big lovable lug, but we see him often. We will likely get another to keep the tradition of our odd canine threesome
I am so sorry you lost your friend and companion...
So sorry for your loss. Please accept my sympathies.
“The dogs all golden retrievers ”
It’s a disaster version of Fox News.
Close friends of mine have a Golden. That dog absolutely changed me from a Strictly Cat person to a Trans Dog Lover.
I loved my two goldens like my children only without all the emotional baggage. Just pure love and companionship. I miss them. They die too soon and it hurts so badly, I have not gotten another.
I had to take in my son’s two cats when he went to Europe. No comparison. I love the cats and they are funny/odd, but my dogs...
God Bless.
Over two years ago, I unofficially adopted my neighbor’s Golden Retriever. They didn’t pay much attention to her so she stayed at our house & became friends with my Maine Coon Cat. My cat is the boss of the Golden Retriever, lol.
4 months ago Bella, the GR, had puppies. We kept 2 of the cutest ones. One is part Blue Heeler & the other, we think, is part Beagle. The Blue Heeler has one Black eye like the Little Rascals dog. Adorable.
We had Bella spayed Friday. Even though the puppies are 4 months old, and huge, she is still a phenomenal Mother. The puppies started fighting this morning & Bella stopped eating, walked over to them & put her hand on their heads & they quit immediately. She even plays & sleeps with them.
The love Golden Retrievers have is astounding. She has really been a blessing.
It's doubtful that the litter had two sires. Maybe the sire was a blue heeler-beagle mix.
Never had a Golden. Mostly smaller dogs. But, like you, I have friends who have Goldens. Very devoted and loving.
I’m sorry for your loss. Putting down a beloved dog is very hard. I pray the Lord will fill the hole in your heart with many kind and warm memories of Jet.
Jet was a rescue dog...maybe he was abused..Or, inbred... I suspect... I do not know....for sure.
He was a fun dog..Could run like the wind...!! He loved to be pet...Would sit by you forever....if you petted him.
He was a prince of a dog....and I miss him.
