Why then this is all starting to change this year?
Could it be that folks have had it with the reality that this country is in?
Time to take America back!
Most of them are probably utterly oblivious to the example of Venezuela.
**************
Oblivious because the socialists in academia and the media don’t want to talk about it.
We can’t even maintain the infrastructure anymore.
Roads, bridges, water, power, all are aging systems running past their design date.
The collapse will not be pretty.
If Trump gets elected, there will be an attempted coup.
The elites, who are the real power behind the government, hate him. They will not allow him to be sworn in if they can stop him.
"...Most of them are probably utterly oblivious to the example of Venezuela..."
That's a most fitting statement, sadly true.
I do not believe that will happen.
AMEN!
The reality is that we have a good opportunity to make a difference. Please do not waste this opportunity.
Unfortunately, the mold has been cast.
The next President will not be able to hold off the economic crash that is coming.
Remember, the President should not be able to dictate. There will be little meaningful change in the composition of the House, and/or the Senate.
Assuming the best case situation, we will go into deep recession. The worst case is, well, worse.
Whatever the outcome, my guess is that in 2018 there will be a bigger change in DC based on the anger of the electorate.
Improvement in the economy and the stabilization of this country? Think 2024 or later.
Sorry, have to not agree with you.
You realize that the people that legislated the mess we are in are the Silent Generation, don’t you? Those born in the 30’s and were too young to serve in WWII. This is the McCain Generation and that ilk.
The millennial snowflakes are not nearly in charge right now. Nor will they be for another 20 years or so.
The ONLY thing they can do right now is complain, and rebel. And they are doing it in their own snowflake manner: Voting for someone who will piss off their parents.
I do not believe a crash is coming. The economy will slow, but not crash. Any recovery will come sooner than expected.
“You realize that the people that legislated the mess we are in are the Silent Generation, dont you? Those born in the 30s and were too young to serve in WWII. This is the McCain Generation and that ilk.”
Thankfully, that generation is on its way out, both by passing on and in primary/elections.
“The millennial snowflakes are not nearly in charge right now. Nor will they be for another 20 years or so.”
Their first rumblings have started though.
“The ONLY thing they can do right now is complain, and rebel. And they are doing it in their own snowflake manner: Voting for someone who will piss off their parents.”
They are not only to be interested in Sen. Bernie, but also I have seen on video when had his live rallies (the Donald), a number of millennials at the Donald’s rallies. So the parents will get pissed off from either direction.
It might be too late, it might not be. We don’t really know. To think we know the mind of God in all this, or his willingness to give another chance is a bit risky, and perhaps the wrong thing to do.
I honestly do not believe that this mess is the fault of God. This is the fault of men. To lay it at God’s feet eliminates our responsibility.
The mess we are in is the direct responsibility of people who are greedy, and stupid.
Our leadership (of the US Gov and Businesses) have maneuvered us into a position where we are weak financially and militarily. The average person on the street is so oblivious to the danger we are in that they will be as sheep when the troubles start.
Yes, we have to live on and we need to prepare. That is the best we can do as individuals. We could try to spread the word about what is going to happen, but no one would pay us any heed. They are too embedded in their fake world to see what is really happening. They need only look at Venezuela to see our future.
I am saddened by the posters on this thread who believe, in the deepest part of their hearts, that the USA of their youth lives somewhere in the core of this mess. They believe that if we just “try harder” we can bring America back.
That is not going to happen.
“Thankfully, that generation is on its way out, both by passing on and in primary/elections.”
Gee,thanks a lot.
Nothing like blaming an entire generation for the actions of a few.
Ridiculous.
.
I must be a rare bird. I know whats going on in South America AND I know that Apple just revised their release cycle from 2 years to three years.
Well just marking the passage of time.
