You’re dismissed....
You can be dismissive but you haven’t made a case for why you need a phone or internet.
That kind stuck in the mud attitude is how “conservatives” conceded the marketplace of ideas to liberals. (*)
Facebook (and Myspace before that, talking 20th century web, 16+ years ago)
Here’s a short list:
- email/instant messaging contact with friends and family. IM is like texting or calling. But apparently you do none of that.
- calendar tracking of events
- status updates (e.g., if an event is canceled or changed) for businesses, services, performers...
- sharing news articles for review and commentary (if you want to “share” them for commentary as opposed to being the 50th recipient on an email chain that has your email address included for spammers to cultivate).
(*)FR isn’t even a must stop for headlines anymore since it became news central for all “braking” news on Trump PR pieces. It’s pretty easy to scan back in the thread posting and see a serious decline in the number of genuine news articles in a day.
What, you don’t want 3497 friends who are total strangers following your every move? Maybe it’s just me but that’s down right creepy. I pick up a phone when I want a real friend to know what’s happening in my life.
Exactly...I don’t know much at all about Facebook or what all it entails and from what I’ve heard today about it, I don’t really care for it...
