You can’t retire because choices YOU made. You are full of jealousy and bitterness. If you can show me who and when anyone forbid you from the same choices others made I’ll listen.
Otherwise your nothing but a whiner, jealous of what others earned through years of education and hard work.Pensions that were part of a job offer they accepted and paid in their whole career.
If you didn’t have a pension option where you work you should have saved and invested yourself or looked for a job that offered one. If your job didn’t pay enough you had choices to make. Get a different job, go back to school, take a second job.
Grow up! I swear reading your pity posts is like listening to Bernie Sanders. Take some personal responsibility for YOUR choices.
“Grow up! I swear reading your pity posts is like listening to Bernie Sanders. Take some personal responsibility for YOUR choices.”
You’re obtuse and stupid. You think “YOU” paid into a pension fund from your government check!
You’re NOT a taxpayer, and the money you “earned” produced nothing, no wealth for the country whatsover.
You’re nothing but an overpaid glorified welfare recipient.
I look at the state of our country, on the verge of chaos and collapse and shake my head with amazement at the utter self-righteousness of people like you, who are/were in charge of this disaster.
Now run along with you gov pension to the next campground, you must be so proud./SARCASM
Easy...to someone ELSE (the ‘masses’ whom were also ‘promised’ by the elected class). In the real world, where We the People cannot exempt ourselves from the Rule of Law, it’s called a Ponzi scheme. Ask Bernie Madoff where the $$ went, you’ll get the same answer.
As to your last: The $$ We, the private sector, had stolen, to pay the public sec. employee, so they could ‘pay’ taxes, went to any number of unconstitutional hand-outs (welfare) and/or the growth of govt.
There’s no need for any ‘righteous indignation’, you’re not alone in your thinking, even if it is incorrect.
I am proud. Proud I put myself thru College, proud I worked 3 different jobs before and after college to get what and where I wanted to be. Proud that I put myself in a position to be offered a Career that offered the opportunities I have had. Proud I saved for my retirement knowing the chances SSI would be there when I became of age was slim.
Proud I sat down at a young age with my Bride and discussed and set up a plan to start personal retirement accounts and save for our golden years.
It’s too bad everyone didn’t. However, it was and still is NOT my responsibility.
Good luck to you. I’ll keep a cold one in the cooler if you happen to drop by... Lot 74, under the Big Oak. :)
