Fast and Furious Weapon Traced to Murder of Three Mexican Police Officers

One of the weapons used in a deadly Mexican shootout last year was traced to the U.S. government's disastrous Fast and Furious operation. Three Mexican police officers were killed in the shootout.

A Justice Department summary provided to two Republican congressional committee chairmen Tuesday found that a WASR-10 rifle, purchased six years before in the U.S., was one of three rifles fired in the July 27 assault in the town of Valle de Zaragoza. It was not immediately known which weapon caused the officers’ fatal wounds. Nevertheless, Bureau of Alcohol Tobacco Firearms and Explosives officials traced the WASR rifle to a Nov. 12, 2009, transaction that was part of the flawed federal gun trafficking operation, known as “Operation Fast and Furious.”

“ATF and the (Justice) Department deeply regret that firearms associated with Operation Fast and Furious have been used by criminals in the commission of violent crimes, particularly crimes resulting the death of civilians and law enforcement officers,’’ Assistant Attorney General Peter Kadzik said in a letter to Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley of Iowa and House Oversight and Government Reform Chairman Jason Chaffetz of Utah.

“ATF accepts full responsibility for the flawed execution of Fast and Furious, and will continue to support Mexican law enforcement in efforts to recover and identify associated firearms.’’

The Justice Department reports that 885 firearms sold to Mexican narco-terrorists by the Obama administration have been recovered. Four hundred and fifteen were recovered inside the U.S. and 470 were found in Mexico.

A 50-caliber rifle recovered from the capture of drug lord "El Chapo" was also traced back to Fast and Furious.

And it was the NRA and gun nuts that forced the DOJ to do that Fast and Furious gun scam.

Extradite Holder to Mexico for criminal negligence.

My understanding is Obama cannot pardon anyone that is not under indictment.

Holder has not yet been indicted.

But I don’t think there’s anything holding back a President Trump from indicting him on F&F culpability.

“ATF accepts full responsibility”

So the Justice Dept won’t object when the Mexican government demands to extradition of everyone involved, including Eric Holder.

Right?

Obama should kill fewer innocent Mexican people.

He is GOOD at killing people, yes, but I think he should reduce that hobby of his.

He should reduce his people killing.

NOTHING Prevents Mexico from issuing warrants for every last person involved in Fast and Furious, then DEMANDING EXTRADITION, except they were probably in on it.

A few years in a Mexican Prison would not be enough for Holder or Obama.

This F&F program is the scandal of the century. I was very disappointed that the Republicans did not make an issue of it during Obama’s 2nd election. It may be such a major scandal that it implicates interests on both sides.

Regret, my @$$, that was the whole purpose.

If the GOPe hadn't sold us out this whole regime would be in Supermax awaiting their meeting with the Lord.

Why aren't Eric Holder and his pals considered accessory to murder?

Unaccountable freaking government bureaucrats. Go Trump!

And Eric Holder still hasn’t turned over subpoenaed documents even though a judge made a final ruling that they aren’t covered by Executive Privilege a month or more ago.

Hundreds of Mexicans have died from Obama's Fast and Furious gun trafficking.

Operation Fast & Furious had as its central purpose the subversion of the US Constitution. The program's strategy was to gin up a furor over guns sourced in the US being used in Mexican crime so that the US public could be stampeded into restricting the 2nd Amendment. Since few such guns were being used in Mexico more had to be supplied. They also had to show up at crime scenes so that they could be traced back to the US to 'prove' the Obama administration's assertions.

The GOP should be harping on one message every time F&F is mentioned. F&F was a program cynically designed to result in Mexican deaths - so that 'evil' US-sourced guns could be found at the crime scenes and US gun laws could be blamed for the carnage. Holder, Napolitano, Hillary and Obama and a host of their minions cooked up this program knowing that Mexicans would die - in fact, needing Mexicans to die for this scheme to work. The Obama administration was cynically willing to slaughter Hispanics to accomplish their political purposes. The only "botch" in the scheme was F&F guns turning up to get Americans killed too.

ATF accepts full responsibility...

What does that mean, in practice? NO ONE has been held to account.
